Still do well, smaller city than Hull and in the doldrums for longer than we have been. In similar circumstances I don't see us doing the same.
Sometimes the mindset of many of our supporters disappoints me. There is an element of flaskerdom and 'Let me watch in silence please' about some of our fans who don't see the bigger picture. I know the PL attracted some unwelcome riff raff to our ground, those 'entitled' people who expect the best view, the best tickets and the conditions they themselves prefer ('civilised' so that they can enjoy the skills of the visiting stars without 'noisy' distractions. The influx of these new more affluent and less partisan fans was started by Duffen/ Bartlett in the vain hope this would give our club that touch of 'sophistication' and 'metropolitanism' we evidently lacked.The Allams continued this courtship of the moneyed 'appreciaters of skillful play' and soon realised they were less stubborn and resistant than the pre-existing hardcore, so were more trustworthy than those 'dinosaurs'. As Phil Collins would say, "Well take a look at me now"..... the wealthy have soon ****ed off just like we all knew they would do when the visiting stars don't come anymore. Maybe that's why the banner carriers were greeted with bemused silence or booing by many on the ground - they just saw some rowdies distracting attention from the PL match between Hal and their opponents, and no interest in the argument (that'll be the 'He can do as likes' brigade)..
I remember about 4/5 older ladies trying to stop young lads from putting Allam Out flyers on the old mans Roller! Was quite funny at the time! Wonder what their views are now?
I thought Allam I would relish the gauntlet thrown down by trucculent customers in the car park, and was amazed when he retreated back to Kirkella and pulled up the drawbridge at the first sign of dissent. Perhaps he had been spooked by Ceausescu's fate.
Think mainly in the Adam pearson era we had some fantastic crowds in the lower leagues never mind the championship, I remember one year been in Tenerife and me and the wife drinking with a group of holiday friends we had got to know over the holiday when someone in the group brought up football and the attention soon turned to Hull City with them all saying how good and unbelievable the crowds were for division 1. If only that momentum would have been carried on, I just hope we get new owners in who have the ability to not only bring in the right price structure to encourage the younger fan base but at the same time keep everyone else happy and also have the ability to once again engage with the fans. Yes in the early years we had great times with the Allams, times which I will never forget but over the last few years have they made us suffer. For now it's a waiting game, each day you come on here you look in hope but apart from supporting the team all you can do is hope, yes I believe they are trying to sell but getting the right deal for them is a different matter. Who knows if it will happen?

Enob has repeatedly fkd things up with his posturing and billy big bollox attitude .. the boy blunder must be a fkn embarassment to the family tbh .. he really is a classic case of born with a silver spoon in his mouth totally detched from reality and spunking money from the family funds. The latest tweet means fk all .. for me its him still trying to act the big man .. when all he is .. is a pathetic little boy with more money then sense.
I agree with Evington. At that time the booers hha yet to surface, it was a year later when we played West Ham (just after an Allam interview where he started going on about arbitration and also a transfer window closing where he appeared to have got some great players in) that the booing first happened, in response to the usual City Til I Die chant. I remember it well because that was when I stopped enjoying going to City. I remember they equalised relatively late on but I didn't care, all I could think about was how sad and embarrassing it was that some of our own fans had turned against the ones fighting for its very survival because they were more bothered about getting big money signings with Allam's dubiously ammassed fortune. I've been to a few games this season and enjoyed it loads more despite the club being in a much worse position. Simply because everyone seems to be on the same page now; we all know the Allams are pricks and need to go. It's very reassuring.
Unless my memorex is utterly scrambled (which is possible), I recall loads of hostility towards CTID that season, including that game. The CTID meeting in West Park before the Norwich game for instance, hardly anyone there and other City fans, passing by, laughed or showed their contempt in other ways. There was a spark at that game, granted and there was some sort of wider spread passion brewing. But, if people want to remember that game with the flag as some sort of Potemkin moment, then, great - I wish it was. It's not how I remember it at all. I do recall the Palace fans joining in though.
