Not all those who didn’t vote simply couldn’t be arsed to. There’s those who weren’t eligible and now are as LL says, those who were undecided/apathetic at the time and now aren’t. You can’t say there’s not good reason to have had that change in opinion.

 

I think what looneys getting at is 16 and 17 year olds will vote remain.

so we now have another referendum since the passage of time has altered the "will of the people" . I'm sure no one will think that it is just a way of getting round the plebs making the wrong choice

I understand the logic of a vote now but it isn't going to sit well will a great number of people and the regular reference to older "leavers" dying so we it's time for another vote is truly distasteful.

 

I'd abstain this time round. Happy to admit I voted remain. Couldn't ever vote leave but I think that voting remain would feel a bit undemocratic. Then again...

 

Distasteful or not, recent surveys have been clear that the majority of the shift isn't due to people changing their minds.

There is no wrong or right choice, just like there's no will of the people. It's what the majority view was at a single moment in time. I don't know if there will be another referendum, but if there is then I hope it's not binary and the options spell out clearly exactly what future relationship it represents. I'd also prefer it was by transferable vote and that if the final option gets less than 60% then we withdraw A50 and schedule another referendum for 5 years, and that includes if the result is remain.

 

I was always of the opinion that very few people have changed their opinion.

If ,and i think it is a massive if , there is a referendum it has to be over the final deal rather than a re run of the original referendum though maybe including withdrawing A50 so perhaps
a) No deal
b) Accept Deal
C) Withdraw A0

but then do we have another when the final trading arrangements are known ?

Two brothers wanted by police in the UK for suspected drug trafficking have been arrested in Thailand.

Joseph and Gregory Mulhare from the Wirral, Merseyside, were detained during an armed raid by immigration officers on their hotel room in the eastern province of Chonburi.

A photograph of Joseph, 43, and Gregory, 38, was released by authorities following their arrest, showing the brothers handcuffed and surrounded by Thai police.


Their arrests come after the North West regional organised crime unit made a public appeal earlier this month to trace the pair as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of Class A drugs.

don't think they will be doing any time in Thai prison as the way i read it was that they were arrested as we had an extradition warrant out on them. Having said that it would hardly be a surprise if they had carried on the old "habits".

 

An asylum seeker who claimed he was 15 and joined a Year 11 class at a secondary school is now being treated as an adult.

An investigation was launched earlier this month when children at Stoke High School in Ipswich raised concerns about the age of a new student, who enrolled in September.

The question of his age came to light when students sent Snapchat photographs of the man with the caption "how's there a 30-year-old man in my maths class?"


The Home Office has now confirmed that an age assessment, completed by the local authority, has verified that the man is over the age of 18.

A spokesperson said: "We are fully committed to safeguarding children and are looking into the circumstances of this case to understand how it was handled."

Parents were furious over the incident - with the Mirror reporting that some students were pulled out of school as a result of the man's presence in the classroom.

One mother said: "The question is, how didn't the Home Office or the teachers see what was blindingly obvious to everyone else?

 

The truth is the NGOs are telling these people to lie before entering, the NGOs sit the migrants down and show them how to game system. The stories to tell, and to look "sad"

The same NGOs also have legal waiting in the countries to make sure the illegal migrants cant be shipped out, and get them tied up in the court system because they know this is a guaranteed way of keeping the migrants there.

The NGOs are intentionally, by design, bringing in migrants from Africa to Europe AS ECONOMIC MIGRANTS, mostly men of fighting age.

Bono's One foundation's openly stated goal is to "replace the EU's aging population" as birth rates are declining. (Correction, stabalised) and if you wanted to promote birth rates in Europe, there are many ways to incentivize people to have more kids, almost always financial incentives, but they dont want that for some reason, they want non compatible hordes of uneducated, more often than not violent, unknown men of fighting age.

Ricker works for Israeli based NGO, and there are several of these migrant smuggling and preparing NGOs that are Israeli based.

Ironically, Israel wants to deport hundreds of thousands of migrants to Europe, am sure these NGOs have nothing to do with that at all, just pure coincidence

Someone will be along soon to tell you that if a 30 year old migrant wants to be 11 years old then to deny him the right would be age discrimination .
