I'd like the 30min halves idea that gets mooted now and again. The ball goes out of play, ref stops watch and doesn't restart it until the ball is back in play, that would stop all time wasting, because it would serve no purpose other than delay the final whistle.

I'm a big fan of this. I think there's something crazy like 42 mins of actual football that gets played in a 90 min game, it might be even less.

Anyone who starts a riot because a football player scored and celebrated, should be arrested, chemically castrated, and lobotomised.
And deported......even if they are British.
Just find some island somewhere in the middle of nowhere and leave them on there, sterile and ******ed.....where they can live out the rest of their sterile, ******ed lives climbing trees and digging in the sand.

I think that's the reason they haven't changed the rule before, because games would go on for hours. But I'd be up for 30 mins of actual football each half, with the clock stopped when the ball goes dead. It would eliminate time wasting immediately.

Games would still take double the amount of time to complete, well at first at least.

We could just instruct the refs to use the powers they already have to clamp down on it? Novel idea I know...

No **** it...no injury time injuries are ever genuine...if they want to roll around let them. No subs...if they injured they can drag themselves off the pitch and get looked at.

What if a fan comes on the pitch and sparks out the goalkeeper?

Anybody who rolls once or twice feigning pain is yellow carded, more than three is a straight red, if you're rolling, you're not injured.

    Mate <laugh>

You have to make provision for genuine injuries.

4x times and you get repeatedly kicked in the bollocks by the opposition.

What happens if all the subs have been used and the keeper gets injured?

He has to get off the pitch and let an outfielder player go in goals.

    No subs in injury time

What's the provision for a genuine injury if all subs have been used?

Whilst this might be tricky to administer properly, it’s worth a try.

Yeah, but that's the team's choice if they've used up all their subs. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't punish a team by losing a player if one gets injured by not allowing them to replace him. (if they still have subs left)

Gotta agree with Iggy the Yid on this one Pisk.
No subs in injury time, no exceptions, even if they are man down, its injury time, they will have to play with a man down for 2, 3 minutes tops.
