My eldest was on the way home from school on the bus from Archway a few months back and a guy jumped out of van and stabbed someone to death outside an ice cream shop opposite Islington town hall towards Hybury corner.
The traffic was stopped and he had to walk past blood soaked pavements .

He's 13 years old and I have to try and explain this to him and why people do this.

Victim and murderer both black men, the only two words you read in this are black men then scream racist at me and start banging on about EDL etc.

Statistically? Probably not. Although the stabbings are usually gang related, if your son joins a gang his odds shorten a lot.

It's down to poverty and people seeing no future for themselves, along with gangs grooming young kids to work for them. This has been explained to you repeatedly but you ignore it every time.
