Finally going to get shot of that stupid rule that substitutions have to walk the width of pitch to exit by the technical area. Hopefully this will cut down on the infuriating time wasting that happens when teams do this.

Other rules being looked at are :

Ditiching the ABBA penalty taking system (thank **** for that)
Changes to the drop ball rule
Keepers only needing to have one foot on the touchline during pens
Re-writing the handball rule to be more specific about deliberate handball.

No subs should be allowed in injury times.

    9/10 times it's a time wasting ploy

The dumbest rule is the "riling up the crowd" rules.
Where by a player can get booked if he upsets the crowd, like celebrating a goal too much or making a gesture.
Because apparently its fine to let 50,000 people jeer, throw **** and hurl insults at one man, but in the event that he gives a tiny bit back, he gets punished.
Don't want those fans getting their little feelings hurt do we!

Also getting booked for taking your shirt off or leaping the advertisement boards when scoring. Pointless rules that add nothing to the game and take away the passion.

Agreed. Unless it’s for an injury.

Not sure I agree with the goalkeeper change. That is giving the goalkeeper more of a chance and penalties should always heavily favour the attacking team.

I'm not sure I understand it anymore, I thought you had to get yourself onside at some point, but I think that part of the rule has disappeared

They don't even keep one on the line now, every penalty saved under VAR would probably have to be retaken.

  11. The reason for that rule is down to health and safety.

A crowd that is already hostile and wound up is more like to riot if provoked by a player over-egging the goal celebration?

But what happens if a goalkeeper is injured genuinely?

Harsh not to be allowed to bring a sub on.

True. It would be a nightmare using VAR for penalty retakes as 99% of keepers come off their line to an extent during a pen. I don't mind it personally, as long as they don't take the piss and come 3-4 yards off their line.

I think it would be at first, but if they cracked down on that and encroachment into the box, players would stop doing it pretty quickly.
