Good Morning Everyone Izzy Brown will be in first team contention should be have no ill effects after Monday's U23 development game against the Blades next Monday. If the Chelsea loanee can replicate the kind of form he did for Huddersfield a few seasons ago, this will be a major boost. Whose place in the team will he take? Former White Andy Couzens has raised concerns about Saiz's weight! "He's got great attributes, could be world class, but he's overweight, not fit enough and can't last 90 minutes. They're facts. You watch a game on a Saturday and they're facts. That's why he isn't playing at this moment in time. "That's why he's coming on for maybe 20 or 30 minutes. I know for a fact he came back [to pre-season training] unfit. He was the biggest guy there." According to The Sun, Leeds are lining up a move for Spurs striker Fernando Llorente. The 33-year-old is not in in Mauricio Pochettino's plans and is ready to sell for just £4million as he risks losing him on a free next summer when his contract expires. Former Inter Milan owner and president Erick Thohir has been pictured with Andrea Radrizzani holding aloft a Leeds shirt. The Indonesian tycoon has recently joined the board of League One strugglers Oxford United after severing his ties with the Italian giants. Radrizzani uploaded an image on his Instagram account with a personal message saying “looking forward to have you at Elland Road next year”.
Erick Thohir was only a minority owner of Inter but a very prominent one. He owned DC United and if this is the level of investor coming into Leeds Utd then we are talking HUGE. His main business is media platforms as he owns newspapers TV and radio stations and huge selling periodicals like golf monthly etc. Linking Radz 11 Sports with this guy is massive especially for domination of the Far East markets and another reason why the EFL should have told Sky go do one. Izzy Brown has been playing the Saiz role in training, he calls it the No10 role b ut looks like he is meant to do what Saiz is supposed to be doing, so will encourage the fat little fecker to lose some wood
Morning all.. Interesting on the new possible investor front. Izzy Brown will be like a new January signing, it might take him a few games but the number 10 role does allow you a bit of luxury, mistakes a little less noticed so hopefully he’ll ease into that role. Couzens likes the word “fact” doesn’t he. I’d imagine we’ll be linked with all kinds of strikers and players, a lot are probably looking at coaches who respect and owe some dedication to Bielsa who have players ready to leave, hence the Llorente link. It’s important for us now to look like promotion contenders again and push for top two, if we’re looking at capable signings in January and if they’re any good then others will also be looking and trying to sign them. Being top 2-3 could just be the deciding factor for a few. Going back to the investor from Milan, how nice to still be hearing positive behind the scenes news, not court cases and making us a joke, we’re being run like a proper club under Rads ad it’s attracting the right interest.
Morning all Potentially some exciting news above, especially the bit about the Fernando Llorente interest, useful striker who knows where the net is,i know he's in his latter years of his career, but could be priceless in helping us to secure promotion.
From what i understand, the whole weight, body fat thing is a religion at Elland Road. So if Samu ‘the pies’ Saiz has been having secret midnight feasts then he is likely getting a rocket.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a dark wet Bardsey Well we have had new locks put in so we slept last night today we are having new floodlights installed and censors and I am going to have words with Everest over their cheap locks that they fitted Don't know much about Llorent but I bet Matt the Doc will post a video Brown was the reason Town got promoted so lets hope he will be fit now
Llorente has always scored goals and if there is anything in this it would be better than having Ponce or Prijavic in my opinion because this guy is a proven scorer of goals, but is frozen out at Spurs due to Kane and Co. Pochetino who is a dsciple of Bielsa has gone after llorente on purpose but due to circumstances and cash spent on players like Lamella etc it cannot happen now, and llorente walks on a free in the Summer unless they cash in at Xmas. His record is stunning and remember he played under Bielsa at Bilboa: Athletico Bilboa 118 goals in 333 games or a goal every 2.8 games Juventus 25 goals in 66 games or a goal every 2.6 games Swansea 15 goals in 33 games or a goal every 2.2 games. Top leagues in the world in Spain, Italy and UK
Yep Llorente just one, of maybe what we need,it's all very well signing these great youngsters, who have bags of potential for the future, but if were gonna get out of this league any time soon were gonna need a couple of older experienced heads to do it (maybe Huth as well) an experienced pro who might be able to learn new tricks (Bielsaball). At least then we would also have some kind of ariel threat from set pieces etc.
Llorente at Spurs is a donkey and you can have him on a free according to Spuds fan at work. Next stop Leeds then!
Also said he was going to drop BPF for Blackman. I’m sure its true but an Interesting motivational and comms strategy to talk about at a presser.
Bielsa said he thought BPF had done exceptionally well to keep Blackman out of goal for so long and he was dropping him not for the last match but because that would be unfair, he was dropping him for a number of things but expects BPF to be a better player and person for having this discussion. Expecting Tom Heaton to arrive soon on an emergency loan deal as we only have Miazek and Huffer available and neither are ready for the step up yet
Read the rules and it says first team goalkeepers available. We dont have any first team goalkeepers available mate. We have 2 young pros who have only done U23 matches Neither are part of the first team squad
Cheers doc, didn’t know it specified first team goalkeepers, thought it referred to professionals on the books
It doesn't London - your pal has got it wrong - nothing to do with "first team goalkeepers". If a keeper is on professional terms is all that matters.................... 57. Emergency Goalkeeper Loan 57.1. If all the Professional Goalkeepers at a Club are unavailable as a result of having been: 57.1.1. certified by an independent medical practitioner as being unfit to play; 57.1.2. suspended; or 57.1.3. called up to play for his national association representative matches in accordance with the requirements of FIFA as laid down from time to time, a Club may register (either before or after the deadlines laid down in Regulations 43.2 and 43.3), a further goalkeeper on a short term basis in accordance with the following provisions. 57.2. The Club must supply to The League, (including by facsimile) written evidence to demonstrate the circumstances set out in Regulation 57.1 apply, together with the appropriate form(s) for his registration and The League having confirmed that the circumstances conform to the provisions of this Regulation:
