Agree with what you say but wasn't there some sort of incident (brother attacked?) and thats why his form dipped and he wanted away?

He's still a good player. He should have been put in the side against Man Who instead of Krancjar.

His brother got kidnapped and murdered a few years ago and since then he understandably hasn't been the same player. Most spurs fans complained about him last season so it seems like a good bit of business for him.

RvF, it appeared that the Spurs fans were the biggest reason for his exit. Whatever he did, it appeared that they were never going to accept him. Good luck to the lad

Spurs fans are a classless lot though, so can't expect much more from them.

How the hell was Wilson Palacios supposed to react? Brother is killled It would take me forever to get over it..
Spurs fans, many of them still rate the player. Arry obviously thought he wasn't either mentally ready or stupid for leaving him out v Utd.

Make your own minds up on that score. He is a very good player and the Stoke fans will make him feel welcome.
Just sorry that, if he makes his debut next weekend, I can't be there to see him.

Well for footballing reasons it was a good decision to sell him as he didn't have good games often enough. Harsh I know but thats the way it is. I'm not going to get on my high horse about how the fans occasionally treated him considering what happened with Eboue.

Thought I'd better bump this as it's already half way down page2, and we're getting closer.

for me I think stoke have an interesting squad, if not one thats already complete. They could well be challenging for some honours this season.

I think their team will take some time to gel and one has to wonde rhow many big forwards one team needs and how they will all be happy... but there you go..

    thier 25 man squad was announced ysterdaty;

Stoke – Arismendi Ciapparetta, Hugo Diego; Begovic, Asmir; Crouch, Peter James; Delap, Rory John; Diao, Salif; Etherington, Matthew; Fuller, Ricardo Dwayne; Higginbotham, Daniel John; Huth, Robert; Jones, Kenwyne Joel; Nash, Carlo James; Palacios Suazo, Wilson Roberto; Pennant, Jermaine Lloyd; Shawcross, Ryan James; Shotton, Ryan Colin; Sidibe, Mamady; Sorensen, Thomas; Upson, Matthew James; Walters, Jonathan Ronald; Whelan, Glenn David; Whitehead, Dean; Wilkinson, Andrew Gordon; Wilson, Marc David; Woodgate, Jonathan Simon; Rana-Jerome, Cameron Zishan.

would you classify a team with upson, shawcorss, huth et al strong? I think so... loaded with big men at the back and up top but perhaps it's in midfield that palacios will make the improvement they need.

I'd say we need to keep some width against them aswell. They tend to play four centre halves at the back so getting behind them with some pace and width seems a good way of getting at them.

I'd like to see downing on the left, kuyt on the right and Suarez down the middle with three CM's. I wouldn't be surprised to see Carroll though to help with set peices but that would be a negative step IMO.

It will be a crap game 0-0, and shown last on MOTD.

But then again, WHEN are Liverpool ever shown LAST on MOTD???

Poor you having to wait to watch Stoke on MOTD, I would be gutted, suicidal even if I had to go through that.

I'm going to complain to the BBC on your behalf, no-one deserves this kind of treatment. Mark my words by the time I'm done Stoke will be first on MOTD for the rest of the season.
