The asking price seems to be £40m. Whether anyone actually wants to pay that much is another question. It's worth far less in reality.
The ownership of the SMC isn't going to change because the Allams will sell its holding company. Assem Allam referred to the deal the Liberals did with Bartlett years ago and how it meant the Council no longer had any control over who owned the lease.
The council are definitely under the impression that they would have to be told if a takeover was to happen.
Out of interest, what do you feel it's worth? I've been trying to put a value on it today with some customers and all of us came up with different answers
