Gall is the only spelling when using the word gall as opposed to gaul. Wordplay obviously goes over the heads of some.
Nice play on words, however would this be the same Richard Sutcliffe whose interview with Ehab was rated thus, "It was hardly a model of cutting-edge questioning" by HCST? http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/ehab-allams-revealing-interview/ I have checked back on most of his interviews; on players, we are not a selling club, "numerous interested parties" seems to be a common thread from 2016 onwards. 14th October 2016 on appointing Phelan, I'm a big believer in having consistency and stability at the club, sacked three months later. Yes, I admire him as a football writer as much as you do, but in keeping with local journalists he hasn't really given the Allams any tough questions. As I said, at times more like their PR man.
Can someone confirm that this thread title will change to “WE HAVE NEW OWNERS!” When it happens, just to save me wasting my time reading the waffle that passes as posts in this thread!
So has the Council been approached about the ground? I always thought that would preceed a sale, but haven't heard anything.
Wasn't there discussion that they had to be approached by any interested parties in regards to taking on the ground? Maybe I misunderstood.
The Council do have to be informed if there's going to be a change of ownership at the SMC, though they can't actually do anything about it.
Yeah didn't think they could, but did think they had to be informed, so thought we might have heard some noise from media around the Council having been informed.
Talking of the SMC wasn't it a last minute add-on for control of it that scuppered the second Chinese deal in 2016? The one that was announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange not the Dai's. I think that deal was £130m so would they have made more selling then at that price or now with the additional monies from parachute payments etc? The current bids seem to be £40-45m? Have they taken out more than £90m?
Did they or didn't they? Obi's analysis of the accounts suggests not. For myself, and probably a good few others, my non number crunched reply is, "surely they did, must have". One that will run and run.
