    Alessandro Del Piero/Filippo Inzaghi/Hernan Crespo/Andriy Shevchenko are on a free (think they might have retired though) all kicking on a bit

    defender wise
    Christian Schulz/Florian Dick/Mario Gaspar (age 20 u21 spanish int. RB)/Marco Zoro/Joseph Yobo


    found these but the article was about summer free agents most of these might have been picked up/retired as you can see nothing to fill you with joy maybe zoro or gasper

    The problem is most of those players have high profiles and as such would be demanding (relatively) high wages like Sol did (£30kpw wasn't it?) just to be backup.

    Unless we have a serious injury strike we should be fine and if somehow all our strikers were to break their legs, THEN we could knock on Shev's door.

    agree tbh just put this up to prove it's not worth going down that road(unless fode makes a full recovery then it's a no brainer)the only one i'd look at is gaspar just for his age and the position he plays but then again Tavernier is probably a better player anyway
