Just confirmed on Sky that Beckford has gone from Everton to Leicester. could this open up the deal for Waghorn?
Why do the Leicester fans and Talk Shyte iinsist on say Beckford is a proven goalscorer at Championship level? He's not scored hardly any goals at this level. All his goals were scored in League one. Another complete embarrassment for Leicesteristan......£4m indeed!
He did score double figures last year in the Premier League, pretty sure he can get a fair few at this level if he could manage that.
Slightly different scenario playing in front of Arteta and Cahill to playing in front of Danns and whoever...£4m LOL
Look just because your club has no history and spent most of its' time in the lower leagues, why are you so bothered about us???
Beckford's a good buy. Leicester have a much stronger squad than we do and the ability to buy more players to strengthen it. He'll score lots of goals in this league. I didn't think Beckford or DJ Campbell would score goals against the better quality players in the Prem but they did. This league should be easy for Beckford.
No you plonker, it is on the main page of the Championship Not606 on this site, that's where I found it. Now why are you so interested in us as there is no locality rivalry. Thought you'd like us considering you're keeping Waghorn warm for us, until he comes back to his best.
Excellent signing i have always rated him since he played on loan for Scunthorpe, I remember the commentator George saying he would go on to play at the top level and he did good luck but not against us.
Iv'e been asking same question of leicester fans No5,some of your lot seem to be looking at us as special rivals. I don't understand it really. Were only rivals in the same way as any other championship side are to each other.Unless some one knows something i don't ?
i dont subscribe to the "what we did before i was born makes us a bigger club than you" syndrome ive supported leciester for 49 years and ive seen us brilliant--ie gillies team in the 60s bloomfields in the 70s and oneills in the 90s ive also seen us crap--ie holloways team and more so franks foxes -- mclintock was a great player for us but the worst manager in our history (and i include peter taylor in this) but i must say that my memories of our 60s 70s and 80s history dont include southampton who i believe spurted up the leagues later in much the same way as northampton swansea and barnsley and didnt bradford have a flirt with greatness? the real test of a club is the size and quality of the fanbasde NOW and i dont include the w**kers who throw their finished season ticket books onto the pitch after the last game of a relegation season. great clubs have a great fanbase and im proud to be part of that
It clearly started with Nigel Pearson & the additions of Fryatt, Hobbs and now Waghorn are bound to interest Leicester fans just as we follow the progress of our former players. Don't tell me you don't watch out for Preston's results? I'm sure most do.. Secondly almost every supporter in the npc "hates" Leicester, I don't think anyone hates them as such but it's just cos they're rich & Sven is an ex-England manager too.. as for any special rivalry there isn't any, Leicester prefer to beat Forest or Derby..
But managers always sign players from previous clubs, that's not a reason. It makes for a manager to do that,it's less of a gamble because he knows them, and their agents. I dont follow Preston, should i ?
not saying u should, but I personally like to see how ex-managers and players are getting on.. take Bradford for example, Parkinson was a flop with us, Duke's gone there and he's probably 3rd choice keeper, Devitt's there on loan too so we'll see if he makes an impression..
It's all hindsight! I'm sure everyone thought Gulacsi would be better than Duke so there was no point in offering Duke a new deal
