..............My good friend, Baz, intimated recently whether or not someone might, just might, start a thread on what your favourite cheese is. Well, I shall take up that challenge.

Now, unlike Teletubby Nev who thinks that one is somewhat of a bheast if one partakes of a cheeseboard as one's pudding/dessert/afters I absolutely love cheese and I am slim, always have been, unlike not606's resident Frank Cannon (Sorry Pudster, you have relinquished that title).

Now, I absolutely love cheese, I would do a poll but there is such a plethora of sublime cheeses on offer that it would be too difficult for an Alzheimer's cursed (Jobby's assertion of my mental fragility, not mine) to list them all.

If one was pushed though, I would have to say either Stilton or Roquefort, although all blue cheeses to be fair.

    Cheesey peas?

    Not heard of them. Irish?

At the risk of being considered flippant though, there's nothing wrong with the likes of Dairylea or Laughing Cow to be honest.

I would draw the line at cheesestrings though.

Stilton for me, too. The stronger and smellier the cheese, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

    Gruyere is gorgeous.

For a nutty, sweetish style cheese, I love Jarlsberg or a brittle Emmental.

I quite like the cheeses with chives, think most regions would have there own variation on it and there's one with chilli as well.

Dairylea or Laughing Cow triangles on Ryvitas with Marmite, mint.

Any strong or sharp cheddar, something with a bit of tang, also lovely. Not a fan of mild cheddar as it just tastes rubbery and so does Edam (the cheese as well as the wax wrapper). Red Leicester on sweet biscuits is nice. Mini Babybels are rank.

Don't like blue cheeses or runny cheeses, the odd Feta cube in a salad is ok.

The Bredren Dem sent me a WhatsApp video of a Sistah trying to burn one of those cheese singles and because it didn't melt she was kicking off that they had sold her plastic food. To be fair the stuff wouldn't even light up so feck knows how it is made or what is in it.

Not a fan of knob cheese before you ask.

Proper brie is good. Not like the chalky **** they sell in some supermarkets. Best brie I ever had was from a cheese shop in Amsterdam. Better than any damn drugs (well, not really) but it was good.
