Sorry to hear that it sounds like your old man is getting worse @PISKIE, here if you wanna chat bud n just make sure you stay strong for your mum.
Thanks mate. And I really appreciate all the comments on here. I know we all give each other **** at times, but for the most part it’s all sound and decent people on here. We’re in the process of getting some support for my old man. Hopefully he can stay or home for a bit longer yet. It’s a tough process for everybody admitting that we can no longer cope with his needs. Thank goodness we still have some semblance of social care left in this county.
Why is it dead? Have you finally bored everyone to death with your amusing stories from your local together with the constant reminders of your deformed penis?
Really sorry to hear that, mate. All the best on trying to set up a good care package for him. Literally gone through similar with my Grandad. The family decided to put him in a home last week, for years they'd tried avoiding that option but his dementia just got to a stage where he needed full time care as my Nan couldn't cope with him anymore and the carers we had going to visit couldn't be there every minute of the day which he needs now. He turned 92 a couple weeks back while my Nan is 90, she's still fully sane and has all her marbles so it's been really tough on her to witness her husband crumble like he has. They've been together since she was like 17 and he 19 I think, first loves and childhood sweethearts all that. Thankfully the home the family managed to find is only about 20 minutes away from their house, so when the family have time, we'll be able to take my Nan to see him as much as we can.
