    Goood day one and all.....

Nightmare trip over.... coach caught up in severe vehicle fire on M1 which closed motorway for three hours...so missed our flight...

Mme Yorkie had gone down on the train and caught the flight without luggage (!). The rest of the party had to spend the night at heathrow and wait 24 hours until the next flight...
All bookings were lost etc etc.. and yours truly as project leader had to sort......hotels, flights, excess luggage etc....
Now here... Mme reunited with her suitcase and we have had some rest...

Good food... <erm> curry, curry, curry LOL

All the best to one and all <ok>

Busy day here, only just stopped. I didn't wish to wake any of you up as it was Sunday, so went and worked on my forge. Modern buildings are far easier to do things to as you have some idea what will be hidden. I do hope that there is an organization for the rehab of spiders as I am evicting them from their home. :(

Unfortunately Norway WFC were the youngest team in the tournament <yikes> Simply outclassed by the better team, who should go on to win this!

Just picking my own old masters 5-a-side team:

Rembrandt, Rubens, Botticelli, Giotto and Michelangelo...they're a bit on the slow side these days but artistry they have in spades...

What, no room for Van Gogh - the Cruyff of his day? I would drop Giotto too - he's only in it for the Monet.:)

Van Gogh? Talented but temperamental and Monet could be a bit slapdash. One bit of good news though...Whistler has offered his services as ref...

Just watched a team of disabled soldiers walk to north pole with support most of the way from prince Harry the dedication ,determination and teamwork brought tears to my eyes! imagine trying to walk 140 miles in arctic conditions pulling 100kg of kit behind you, then imagine doing it without an arm or leg!! absolutely inspirational!
