He seems very loyal to spurs. But I wonder how long the nagging urge to win trophies somewhere else will keep him there. As I say, he reminds me of a Matt Le Tissier type of player. Maybe he’s happy to stay at the level he’s currently at ?
In the right type of team ... Aguero is the almost a perfect fit with the Man City creative players that they have currently - not sure Harry would be quite as effective - but you can't doubt the lad's ability with a clear sight at goal ...
Broadly agree with you ... if I was a top manager right at this point in time and was given a budget to acquire one 'goalscorer' it would not be Harry ... in no particular order I would be looking at Ronaldo Messi Neymar Aguerro Mbappe Bale (full fitness assumed) Greizman Costa (if still as effective as his last season at Chelsea) Glen Murray
I’d disagree with most of this,. Ronaldo is 33. Messi is 31 Neymar is a petulant child. Aguero - great striker, but again age is a factor. Greizman and M’bappe, both world class, but so is Kane. Costa - at his best, yes. But temperamental to say the least. Murray - ok, but not in the same class.
There’s no way he’d just seemlessly fit into the Aguero role, he doesn’t move like Aguero. The team would have to adapt to Kane. Obviously you’ll disagree and I’m completely wrong though.
Lewandowski Icardi Dybala Cavani These players would do the job, for much cheaper than Levy would let Kane go for.
Maybe he is, but I don’t think he’d improve at anything at City. He wouldn’t do any better than Aguero.
He might be ... but he doesn't have Aguero's quickness or tightness of turning circle ... which suits the way in which City build their play and create chances ...
Spurs fans were busy telling me that Martial wouldn’t get in their first XI a few weeks ago, well right now he walks into that side and is worth more than any Spurs player bar Kane.
I rate Aguero highly, but this started as a discussion about Kane and the team around him. Whilst we have a pretty good side, City are an exceptional side and it was my contention that he’d thrive even more on the service he’d get from their midfield.
I did say "right at this point in time" - i.e to win me something this season or perhaps next ..... and Glen Murray was not a serious inclusion
I’ve said as well, there’s plenty of cases where players haven’t thrived on ‘better service’. It’s just not that simple and Kane’s no exception.
