From the clubs Website Duncan Watmore will get a run out with the U23s next Monday at Eppleton against the Boro.
    Great news indeed.

Duncan Watmore is set to continue his comeback from injury in an under-23 fixture next week, according to Jack Ross.
Elliott Dickman’s young guns will be in action at Peterborough United on Monday evening, with Watmore set to feature for the development side one week later against Middlesbrough at Eppleton CW.
The 24-year-old has missed almost 12 months of first-team action after suffering a knee injury against Milwall last December, but after working hard, and remaining patient, he played his first minutes in a training friendly two weeks ago.
And he won’t have to wait too much longer to play competitive football.
"He’s scheduled to play in an under-23 game against Middlesbrough at the beginning of next week, and that will be another significant step forward for him," said Ross.
"The under-23s have another two games after that, and the Checkatrade will then be around that time.”
He added: “I had a long chat with him on Friday and the good thing is this week will be his sixth week of training with us.
"That gives him a really solid platform, not just physically but psychologically, to say, ‘right I’m back’.
"He’s desperate to be involved, as he’s been out a long time and he’s missed playing.
“I think he also likes the way we play and thinks he can be an asset within that, so I think he’s excited about that.
“He’s very positive and I think appreciates the patience we’ve had.
“When he’s back, the impact he’ll make will be clear."

    Great news.

If he rediscovers his old form he’ll be better than any signing we can afford in January

Cant help feeling that he wont be anywhere near the player that he could have been due to the injuries. I've written him off but hope for the best for him.

Yes, I think we shouldn't build our hopes too high on an immediate impact. Lets hope we can enjoy his gradual rise to his potential

The captain. Not knocking Honeyman he puts a shift in but he is a squad player and imo the others are better.

Not Gooch hopefully. As he can play up front maybe he'd be useful instead of Sinclair. He could come on when Maja tires or he could start and make way for Maja after an hour so.

Its a close one, we need shifts in this league but a fit Watmore has to start.

Could be Maja if he stalls with the contract.
Would we all sell for £6 Million ? Could be another Jon Stead, this League is p iss poor.

In my opinion this current regime will suit the lad much better than those he's previously been involved with.

I've watched him in the PL, and Championship, never giving up while others obviously have.

He's run & run for passes that never came and chased down balls he had no right to win.

The attitude in the current squad is perfect for Watmore and I think he'll flourish.

I don't know who if anyone I'd drop for Watmore but there's real competition for starting places and if he's good enough to earn one then he will. There's nobody I'd point to in the first team and say he's not playing well enough we should drop him for Watmore.

Watmore goes in for Honeyman IMO.

Not rushed obviously, but he'll destroy this league if he's anywhere near fit and firing.

Saville (The Miillwall player that fecked his knee up again), now plays for Boro and struggles to get in their first team.

I hope this isnt deja' vu :emoticon-0112-wonde

Me too. He reminds me of Fraiser Campbell. A player that could have been very good if it wasnt for serious injuries.
Fraiser was half the player once he lost a yard of pace and i have the feeling Duncan will be the same.

    I hope im wrong.
