Faugheen ran to 155 on RPR today and outside of his Champion Hurdle effort that is his worst run for a while. Even when beaten by Nichols Canyon when 1/6 Fav, Faugheen ran to 164 on RPR Again, if Willie Mullins though the horse was an "Obvious 3 miler", then why run him exclusively a 2 miles, including the Champion Hurdle? Surely he should have gone to the Stayer's race? These horses can't go on forever and Faugheen owes nobody anything. Are they going to run him until he starts becoming an embarrassment of the champion he was? Surely he deserves some dignity, even if the staying ranks are pretty devoid of talent. They are not stayers for me, just slow horses.
Only taken three days to find a winner and two come along. Lalor was awesome, ankle winner? Master debonair I the bumper. I don’t like to criticise but the riding of verdana blue and Seddon was shocking they only had to jump five fences and verdana blue travels well on the flat but from back there to much to do the same with seddon they went a crawl so no excuses.
