Nice one Bobby. Great pics. Weird place Death Valley eh ? and totally different from Yosemite and NorCal. I've driven through Death Valley from Las Vegas and on up on the 395 to Yosemite. Which I expect is the road you drove down from there ? Goes through a couple of little towns, Lone Pine, Big Pine. Proper old Western towns. With the Sierra Nevada on one side and Desert and Salt plains on the the other. Where else are you heading ? Are you going to Joshua Tree national park ? Keep the pics coming mate.
Nah cross back for pacific high way and the big sur. At pismo beach at the moment. Highlight today was seeing the mountains on the west coast, some **** off giant ranches and some dolphins at pismo beach (pretty lucky. Binman pointed them out). Now just bored at a dumb outlet. Travelling with missus and her sister though so its its go be done. Hopefully the millions of wildfires doesnt affect the views too much
Big sur is great, nice change from the mountains and desert. There's a great town called Cambria up on the 1. Well worth a stop for lunch and some quirky shops. Also just a few miles up the highway near San Simeon is a little pull off where there are hundreds of Elephant Seals on the beach. Ask around, the locals will tell you about it. And make sure you fill up with gas before you hit Big Sur
I loved Monterey and Carmel. Got a sea life centre in Monterey. I'm sure i stay on some redwood park that way for a day or two in a what was either a house or a lodge.
