I think, despite 2 draws and a loss we have played extremely well. The chelsea result flattered them and we were unlucky to not come away with a point or more. I think we should enjoy it while we can!

Me too, i am holding back from faux criticism of our squad until we have done something............. PCs piece is exactly the sort of stuff that posters come up with when things aren t going so great.................. I would compare it with a bank manager laughing at the thought of going bust. I m pretty confident we will survive this season but i am a million miles from doing a victory conga past Portman rd.....

Well said wonky! I've seen nothing to cause me any concern so far, well maybe a couple of naive errors, but they'll be worked on, I have seen plenty to make me think we're in the right place, and if we can stop the opposition from bribing the referee, we'll stay for many a year, no probs! <ok>

I have faith boys but we are close to the nickname of plucky luckless canaries, A good old boring 1 nil against the Baggies would keep the wolf from the door for a while.

Was this article picked up off the pink'un by anychance <laugh>

I must say, johnson really has proved me wrong! I see him play twice in pre-season and he looked useless but him and crofts in the middle look to have knocked up a good understanding in the 4-4-2 formation...

the 4-4-2 is certainly the way forward for us now with the players we have to compliment the formation! It will work alot better than the diamond now in my eyes...

I quite like him as a player actually, but just the part about his wayward shooting brought back some memories of some of his terrible shots!

  7. +1 on the 4-4-2 but I like the fact we can switch to the diamond when we want to, we're not a one trick pony. Pilkington and Bennett look like great acquisitions to me.

We haven't really seen any wayward shooting. That part of the OP was picked up from what Leeds fans told us I believe. Not really been the case so far.

ha ha top stuff this - you should have slated the manager as well for tactical ineptness and the board for not backing the manager

I saw one against Chelsea (I think it was the Chelsea game), exceptionally high, wide & handsome <laugh>

At the time I remember what Leeds fans said about his 1 goal against Arsenal and all his other shots troubled the corner flag or row Z behind the goal. There might actually be an element of truth behind what they say

In fairness he made some amazing threads about Ipswich, but the overzealous moderators on 606 got rid of them in flash.
