    Yeah the Fail must be disappionted there anti-spurs agenda did'nt work.the article made some good points,lets hope it the players read it and realise they should see out their contracts,when they are happy to sign them at the time.

    He's pretty much hit the nail on the head there, for me.
    Losing Modric wouldn't have been the end of the world, but it becomes a cycle, where you sell your best player to another Premier League club, bring in a replacement and then wait 2 years to repeat.

    If Modric is still desperate to go at the end of the season, then a foreign club needs to stump up the cash nice and early in the window.

    And while we're at it, sign Milan Badelj. Heck, sign him to a pre-contract agreement in January, as he's a perfect like-for-like replacement/back-up plan.

    Keeps Modric out of my Spurs team on FM that guy. I generally raid the Croatian teams, plenty of young undiscovered talent, including Badelj, Kovacic and Vrsaljko.

    Newspapers like the fail would have a field day with that, though. They'll make out that we are considering allowing Modric to leave by getting a replacement, and the saga will just continue.

    Besides, IMO, Hudd/Kranjcar/Livermore can prove to be a decent replacement already.

    So his hero is DL for not letting Modric leave.

    Unfortunately, he did forget to mention that whilst he didn't lose one star, he didn't strengthen sufficiently to make that star and those others around him think its worth staying here for the long haul.
