We don't have a very good record with migrants, so I'm not preaching but ... Why do the migrants risk life and limb to get from France to England, two EU countries. We have migrants, well we used to, who risk death travelling from Indonesia to Australia having travelled from other parts of Asia and the Middle East and I can sort of understand why they don't want to stay in Indonesia but why cross from France to England.
Because things are so much better here,unless your a commie like dbc,then cuba's the land of milk and Honey,everyones equal,no one has anything.

The ones that are may do for a variety of reasons, they have family or connection here, they speak some English, they have heard that we are a tolerant nation, or that we have better employment opportunities but again just to emphasis the vast majority are not travelling through other lands to get here.
Your confused,Germany allowed 1million in and the others have a EU quota,we are not part of the agreement,so yes,they are going to massive trouble to come here instead of the rest of Europe.
Seriously because they are much better off here,and get given lots more,that's the truth unless you live on planet dbc,which is a flat in London.
The figures I quoted were initial applications for asylum. Doesn’t show whether they were successful or with the quota system where they would be moved once they were accepted. But does demonstrate that the vast majority were not making an initial beeline for the UK.

Eric, have you read of the 'refugees' from Manus that were re-settled in the US now wanting to come back to Manus because it's too hard to live in America? About forty of them have asked to be returned. They only want to come to Australia because "the welfare is better".
