And I appear to have missed the results of the US mid-terms, who is claiming victory, everyone?

Democrats took control of House of Representatives, but Republicans gained a few seats in Senate, so legitimately mixed.

 

If the fact that he couldn't find a single Tory in the past 24 hours to back his leadership challenge wasn't humiliating enough for Michael Gove, the fact that he was offered the role of Britait Secretary and backed down by claiming he's happy at DEFRA and has so much important work to do is surely the end of any hopes he had of appearing remotely leader-like - especially since the Dire Leader was able to politically outmanoeuvre him in spite of her government resembling the opening twenty minutes of The Last of Us

 

We can all sleep easier in our beds - Amber Rudd is back in the Goverment as Wok & Pensions Secretary

I know we don't set the intelligence bar very high with our Politicians, but I think we have a candidate for the History 'Failure of the Week', following fast on the heels of Raab's interesting slant on Geography......

Well neither of them's ever displayed any political aptitude.

I read that during the three day week industrial output didn't fall that much. People are simply more productive in a shorter amount of time. Indeed there's a body of evidence to suggest that a shorter working week is a good thing and won't affect productivity much if at all. It's a very American thing this idea about longer working hours being good. It's a combination of misunderstanding of how humans work and think combined with some kind of forced loyalty thing to make people stay at work.
