I've copied this from a facebook page that the Brighton fans have set up .... isn't this brilliant or what .... Fans Re-united - 24th September @ Home Park, Plymouth I'm sure we're all aware of the plight of Argyle, and the amount of help they gave us (Brighton) in our (their) hour of need. I think it's time to repay that favour and declare their home game on the 24th September as FANS RE-UNITED DAY. They are in real danger of them going into liquidation. This would then mean our friends down the road would no longer exist as a team. The knock on effect throughout the football pyramid would be immense (although certain teams will feel immune from it). Their players have taken a 60% paycut to ensure the team can survive for another few weeks. We, the fans of the sport, need to show solidarity with their team. We need to rally the troops and take as many as possible down there to get behind Argyle. Take anything you can that will make a lot of noise down there. whistles, rattles, vuvuzelas, anything that's legal in a ground and will get heard. Let's make Home Park the noisest ground on the country for this day. If we (Brighton) could pull off a Fans United Day before the internet was a huge as it is now, can you imagine the potential now. Wear your colours and show them how much support they have. Please, if you're registered on a different football forum, copy this into their forum. We need to show the country how corrupt Risdale is. Saturday 24th September is Fans re-united day @ Home Park
My fear is the riddler will see it as a payday. My hope is that it will send a message. A short trip for me so I will repay the compliment as should all other local greens
Does my memory serve me right. Did I not see a picture of a banner at a Brighton game last season saying save PAFC ?
If there is anything I can do to help out? Please let me know, I belong to several message board sites, so quite happy to send this out to all of them, also willing to include on my own website, facebook, whatever is necessary. I'm not sure what it would do to help you but at least it gets the message out to as many people as possible.
Given the number of exiles spread around the country maybe we should organise someone to attend every league ground over a 2 week period to both thank fans for their support but to raise the profile of our plight. Surely publicity can be arranged for something like this. Banners could be arranged ?
Anything anyone can do would be much appreciated by us greens. If anyone has any ideas please go ahead and put them into practice. The way lower league football is going you just never know when you will need such a favour returned - I for one have a very long memory even though I may not remember what I was doing yesterday I'm gonna make this thread a sticky so it stays near the top of page 1.
Raai - I've already hit several other sites with it Is there some way someone can do something for YouTube? Your be able to measure the hits then.
I don't really know anything about youtube, I've only ever listened to music on there but there must be someone who can do something brb. If they see this maybe they will.
If someone can make a suitable YouTube video of Plymouth Argyle, then just add captions and links highlighting your plight. I've not had enough practise on the editing functions to help with stuff like that.
No me either lol, will wait and see if a fellow green can do it. Maybe I'll start a facebook campain, I have already posted a link to this on my wall.
At least the real people care and know what scum we have trying to lead us....so will have a nice pasty to cheer me up Mrs. Reid plz at bar later....
I see Brighton are talking of turning the Amex stadium green for the televised game on the Friday before. All local greens should attend to show support and thanks for their help
It makes your faith in human nature somewhat more worthwhile when you read stuff like this. Lets hope more than enough Plymouth people turn up on the same day to show that WE really care down here as well.
