A slow news day. Klopp said some nice things about Mitrovic which is why he gets a mention I suppose. The other lad is old news.

I was half expecting a link to schurl.

Esp the way Klopp and bobby greeted him.

I know it's obviously from when they all played in Germany but when does that stop media making **** up.

Klopp: 'Decisive' Shaqiri can still improve

Xherdan Shaqiri's penchant for 'decisive moments' delights Jürgen Klopp - and the Liverpool manager is sure there is more to come from his No.23.
The Switzerland international continued an impressive start to his Anfield career with another bright, creative display in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Fulham.
That performance was crowned with a brilliantly-taken volley at the Kop end, which means Shaqiri has either scored or assisted in five of his last six appearances for the Reds.

LFCTV GO: Watch Shaqiri's best bits v Fulham
“Yeah, or even more. What can I say?” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com, when asked whether Shaqiri has lived up to his expectations so far this season.
“He’s just a fantastic boy on top, that’s really good, and he knows that he has so much potential still to improve.
“But of course he’s the guy for decisive moments, that’s how it is, and we have to make sure that it stays like this. Another really good performance and a fantastic goal on top, so it’s really cool.”

Been pleasantly surprised by shaq. Has added that extra bit of creativity while playing in that midfield 3. If he can develop other areas of his game to be a real midfielder then could be a real coup.

Popped up with couple goals and assists already so already paying back his small fee.

Xherdan Shaqiri believes he will score more goals for Liverpool than he managed at Stoke: 'It's always better if you've got better players around you'

If he's bothered to learn yeah great.

The fact is he wasted a lot of his career cos he wasn't ready to learn. I hope his time at stoke has taught him. He is 27 now and spent 3 years at stoke rebuilding his career after failing at bayern and inter.

If klopp can turn him into a genuine no 8 who closes down, presses well, works back and is still creative it would be a major major coup.

Liverpool are reported to be leading the race to try and lure US international Christian Pulisic away from Borussia Dortmund.
The 20-year-old has played a key role as BVB have stormed to the top of the Bundesliga table this season and is just the latest player to be linked with a move to England.

Pulisic will be in the USA side that takes on England at Wembley tonight and reports are claiming an impressive performance could spark a scramble for his signature.

As well as Liverpool, fellow Premier League sides Tottenham and Chelsea are also said to be keen and are sure to have scouts present at tonight’s friendly clash.

What is a concern for Dortmund is the fact that Pulisic has just 18 months remaining on his current contract and thus far there is no sign of him penning a new one.

Liverpool are said to have failed with an £11million bid back in 2016 but it would cost them an awful lot more today as the midfielder goes from strength-to-strength.

Shaq has been the bollocks mate. 13mil <rofl>

Against 75per cent of the league I'd start him with either Fabinho/Hendo/Milner/Gini as the 2 sitting behind. Basicslly have Shaq as a hybrid 8/10.

Hes ****ing boss with better players round him. Hes a 50mil player imo
