But if Sturbridge has told some bloke, I'm going to inter get your money on it, knowing full well he isn't, that's just a bit of a ****ty joke, nothing more
The pain killers to treat his sore toe must have affected his brain if he thought he had any chance of joining inter. If that's the case he can use diminished responsability
i just don't believe the FA would have pursued a charge unless they had evidence to suggest he was implicated. The idea this was related to a single bet of 5 figures beggars belief tbh.
I'm assuming and to be honest hoping a bit more information comes out to show it's more than just some bloke making a silly bet and the betting shop thinking it's strange. If that's enough for the fa to issue a charge, they can basically do what they want with little regard. Actually even as I've said that, I think they do what they want with little regard.
If there's anything to that story in the Telegraph then maybe the 'man from the West Midlands' is a relative of Sturridge - as that's where his family are. Strange that it was a bet from that part of the world if there's no connection to Sturridge. 8 months is a long time to be investigating something which on the face of it looks quite straight forward, there's got to be more to it.
Even when there is evidence (Firmino and Holgate), They tried their hardest to find him guilty. Still never said he is innocent.
True. This will either disappear with little else said or there's a lot more to it than one man making a spectacularly bad bet bearing in mind Sturridge has been charged with not only allegedly passing on information but betting himself.
You'd like to think there was more to it after eight months of investigating but nothing would be surprising when it comes to the FA
