Yeah and how did Clough do at Derby and Sheffield Utd? Burton is his level. Wouldn’t touch Pearson with a barge pole but I could live with Moyes

Yep I'm not a fan of Pearson in the slightest but I could get fully onboard the Jokanovic train!

And for those claiming that SL has done nothing but put money into the club.... If you really believe that, take a look at the blue few down the road, look at their academy, training setup, scouting, data analysis and all of the other off-the-field bits and pieces and compare it with our capabilities. That is not too dissimilar to what SL has taken us from.

Whether we're making max use of it is debatable, but all he can do is try to give us the best chance of success through that.

Jokanovic did well for Fulham last season, but not giving the chance to the players that got them there and spending the millions to sign so many players was his downfall...
Those saying SL's done nothing apart from putting the odd few quid into the stadium, is talking nonsense!

I'm with you on Pearson but Moyes is undoubtedly a good fit. Has a track record of bringing through youth players and punching above his weight at clubs where he's been given a good chance.

He won nothing of note at United but nor did Van Gaal nor Mourinho with their multiple CL's and league titles between them. No one could have been successful in that job as far as I'm concerned. He did the job asked of him at West Ham. He was at a sinking ship with Sunderland.

I think he's worth the benefit of the doubt. He's clearly a top manager.

Not really I only know that because its well known they have done well in the past. Doesn't mean I would go for either of them, don't know, it was just an answer to what I thought was an odd question.

Fulham have a Director of football operations and a Head of football operations or something like that, one of whom is the owners Son and a analytical dept that are in charge of transfers.

Jokanovic could make suggestions e.g. Mitrovic but could not sign players.

But leaving out the players that got them promoted (excluding loans) would have been Jokanovic's call..

Are you being serious? Do you honestly believe that Ashton Gate is worth more in bricks and mortar than he has put into the club?
You really are the village idiot if you believe that, actually scrap that. If they pooled all of Britain’s village idiot’s into one village, you would be the village idiot in that village.

Off course not,but he owns the lot,so there is huge assets and of course he is lucky enough to have more money than he will ever need.
Let’s say it is his plaything.Would be wonderful if we could invest in a proven manager not a gamble that we have.LJ has done well and has taken the club as far as he can.

I would have normally thought the Head Coach would have that autonomy but it may not have been as straight forward as that. Jokanovic three weeks ago was offered a contract extension which he did not sign. He was also critical of new signings …Now he has gone.

cant totally agree here … if you take the "whole" as a basis of his investment and on going value then it is a wise investment and would most likely equate to more than has been spent..... should SL find a buyer tomorrow . say sheik al ma who is it … then he walks away with a profit.. depending of course on the money paid is in real estate terms....
his putting in money is extremely complicated, how he puts it in and how it is termed as! one of the benefits is he has built up and is building up an equity which in times of need can be converted to counteract debt should he choose to go down that path ….

We’re talking about bricks and mortars, not about what a sheik will pay. And we all know from the blue few how reliable they are! But there is no way Ashton Gate is worth more than SL has put in over the years.
