As for Scudamore, he can go **** himself, Why in the hell should clubs have to stump up for this ****? Let his employers pay him his stipend. Scudamore has nothing to do with the National team, he works for the PL, not the FA, but the rest I agree with.
The rise of the Prem is in exact correlation to the decline in the national team. Whether it is down to him to look after the national team is mute point. The global game and influx of foreign players and decline of home grown is at his door.
What football really needs sadly is for a big club to go pop, no one gives a **** when it's Chester or Aldershot etc but would soon have to act if it was one of the bigger boys. Not a really big club obviously just a ****ty one like Spurs or Chelsea

The Pompey guys I know actually want to get into the championship and remain there. The most fun and best atmosphere and none of the guys who apparently starting appearing when they were in the prem.
