Sky sports news have had “goal alert” for every goal in the competition. Gone to the ground and talked about it. Except ours! Only game they didn’t report on all night
And another goal for Maja, takes him to double figures I believe, he has not looked himself of late, but this should give him a boost to drive us to the top of the league this weekend.
Oviedo was quiet today, but finished with a bang. He's carrying the ball up our left side at full pace, he could't have been all that much past midfield, when he delivers a lazer beam which finds Maja on the right side of the penalty box. Because of the pace and precision of the pass, Maja had enough time and space to shoot across the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
He didn't have the best of games, but like all good strikers, he showed a bit of class where and when it counted.
You could really see the difference between the level of play today and that of the first team. They try to do the same things, they play the expected passes, drop the ball off for a teammate at the right time, try the give and go, but nothing quite comes off. The only player which stood out was Power. He kept finding players on either flank, in stride, with properly weighted passes. Almost no one received the ball within the 18 yard box. When ever the ball went in there, for either side, invariably it was a defender with the first touch.
Rtb the draw for the second round is on the 16th and we will play at home against one of the runners up from northern groups E, F, G, or H mate.
Yeah - I should check things before posting rubbish I stand corrected https://www.efl.com/news/2018/november/checkatrade-trophy-round-two-draw/ Walsall, Oldham, Doncaster, Lincoln it's bound to be Walsall isn't it
When I click on your videos, all I get is the rotating circular arrow. But today I was determined to see the replay of that goal, so I right clicked, copied the URL, and opened it in another tab. Full screen, clear video - - if anyone else is experiencing a similar difficulty.
Great win again....just don't want to wake up in the morning realizing all of this is a dream and we are still bottom of the Premier League/Championship....
