No, QI exposed the myth that the French cut off the dominant fingers of captured bowmen and as a result the British soldier adopted givin the fingers to them in defiance.

I saw that episode.

 

Thought it was more to do with the French Gamboling English archers who were captured in a previous battle/s.

The remaining archers fingers were then stuck up at Crecy in defiance.

 

They do seem to be quite nawty

Maybe we should start with the ancient Greeks, then the Romans, the *****ls, the Huns, then work our way up through Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, China, Russia and the USSR.

A concentration camp is a concentration camp. Starve, deprive, force labour, care not about prisoner death.

Don't confuse it with Nazi concentration camps which were all of that plus tools of mass murder.

 

America invented concentration camps. They were called cotton plantations.
