I don't think I can ever gamble that much, it bores me n seems a waste of money. And yeah not the best away day.
Well done mate! I take my hat off to you - I recently did a month (well a month and a week as after the month I couldn't be bothered to drink at first) and although the beginning was hard, I felt so much better for it and I lost 10 lbs (lol though meeting you I know you don't need to do that ) Don't think I could do a year, so well done, nearly a ⅓ of the away through! After my month or so off, it is a lot easier now to not have a drink - I found it was getting too much of a habit as being a homeworker, it was so easy to finish work, have a bottle of wine whilst cooking/eating and then a nightcap as I only a have a 10 second commute each morning. Now rather than having 6-7 days of drinking, I am having maybe 1 or 2. As a prize to myself with the money I saved, I bought a new Apple watch....goes to prove how much I was wasting! Keep it up mate, it is worth it!
I cut right back this year, only have the occasional beer or gin and tonic. Have now saved enough and bought an old motorbike for green laning. Still smokin weed though, so haven't turned into some kind of puritan
I only really drink at the weekends (fri and sat) maybe a beer in the afternoon on Sunday with my lunch watching the football. Me and the other half probably go through about 10g a week in the green stuff though , need to cut that down
Yea people spend a ton easy on a night out drinking , I spend less than that for the whole week and in the comfort of my own home. Can’t jusify the price of booze these days.
My wife works for a brewery so I'm quite keen on other people to keep drinking. She can get me free beer though, so none of my occasional beers at home costs me anything.
I’ll probably get forced to watch the jungle bollocks, and nice talent in it this year to atleast ease my pain slightly?
Used to love watching his fishing programs...RIP John Wilson https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/norfol...nd-john-wilson-has-died-in-thailand-1-5777317
