Talk about stating the obivous though, saying he's unproven in the league. So were Tiote, Ben Arfa, Cabaye. Everyone's unproven in the Premier League before they play in it, of course <whistle>

    <laugh>

Ahh, takes all sorts I suppose

Sorry, can you just highlight and pinpoint just exactly where I was talking about the fact Santon has only played 15 league games since 2008? I seemed to have missed myself saying that? It would be a shame if you've simply picked up an argument out of absolutely nowhere, so please, let me know where I said anything to do with that.

  4. Cabaye tackling Barton should be interesting.

The funniest thing is, you've had to alter that quote and you've removed the latter part of the post, taking it entirely out of context <laugh> You seemed to have missed off the crucial part of "saying he's unproven in the league"

    TIOTE walks over
    Barton runs

Just hope Barton doesn't do any of those nasty horrible lunging disgusting tackles that he's famous for on any of our players

What? <whistle> He's not a Newcastle player anymore! We're allowed to share the ridiculously biased views of other teams now aren't we? <laugh>

You said, and i quote 'talk about stating the obvious'

Well he really didn't go into a lot of detail

In fact, as far as i'm aware, twitter only lets you use 140 characters

If it was so 'obvious' why would you highlight the fact that what he'd said was 'obvious'?

    I don't get it?

The thing is mate, Santon's played 65 games since 2008, so Barton hasnt a ****ing clue what he's talking about

I think the original debate was whether he's proven or not

I could be wrong though LOLZ

I saw QPR when they played Wigan last week and if we don't beat them then we're in trouble.

Taarabt is off-form. The only player i'm worried about is Barton. You can just see a Barton winner, like that Fulham match last season when Duff scored. Woeful.

It will be definetly a good battle and if Tiote is on form I expect him to win the battle as he can control the midfield when on the top of his game. Barton obviously has different qualities and if he passes it out wide they have now got good pace in Shaun Wright-Phillips and Armand Traore so our fullbacks will also need to be on their game. I think Tiote will probably man mark Adel Taarabt if I'm honest as he can be a real handful

I have faith in our team and manager as they know Barton inside and out. I do fancy Barton to have a good game but I also fancy Tiote to - as long as the result at the end of the game is a positive one for us (even a point would be decent) then I will be happy :)!

I don't know about Barton being carried off but I can see Tiote getting sent off. You say the team knows Barton inside and out; well the reverse is true in spades and he'll be sure to pushing all of your buttons on the day.

After Pardew's plea on the little fella's behalf the other week I'm sure the ref will take a sympathetic view of his shennanigans.

If anyone will be getting there buttons pushed it will be Barton. Tiote is not the type to react - where as Barton is

You have a point. If i was Pardew i'd be making sure that everyone is on strict instructions to completly ignore everything he says or does in the match, it's the only way as proved by Arsenal numourous times

That wasn't through reacting to people pushing any buttons - it was for fouling (although a lot of them were harsh imo)

Exactly my point, Santon has played 14 or so games for Inter in that time, but Barton obviously didn't realise he spent a season out on loan at Cesena.
