This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ In the last couple of games when Koren has drifted inside he has put himself in good positions to receive and dare I say it, shown a little creativity on occasions, it seems he could be better used CM then out on the wing.
See, it's **** like this that makes me come across as negative all the time. The only way your statement could be true is if you started watching City when Nigel Pearson joined.
You'd have to drop Cairney to play Koren cm and that would be extremely harsh to drop him after he's been playing well. We're playing possession football and building from the back. It's good to see us attempt to try and play an attractive passing game as opposed to lumping forward every 5 or so mins which is what we often did under Brown/Parkinson/Taylor (we did last season too but NP's actively trying to change the tactics and I respect and like the guy for that).
Been watching city since my dad first took me in the mid 60s . The goals will come. NP is a decent manager , he may have made a few mistakes but who hasn't ? things will get better as the season unfolds and I don't rule out a top six finish at this early stage of the season.
Were playing some of the best football iv'e seen us play since, well ever really.NP has changed his tactics from last season when he pretty much had go with what he had. We've bossed all the teams we've played so far, even tws game. Now that we've signed Waggy we might start to put some of those chances we've been creating,in the onion bag. And were all looking forward to having Cameron Stuart back, his full on attacking style will fit right in with the game plan. Even when we lost at home to palace we looked to be the forward thinking side, despite the mind boggling 451 system. Please NP,never again at home. Yes i think we can look forward to an interesting and winning season.
Because we're not, and people are trying to convince themselves we're playing well because they've spent ages overhyping a man who will ultimately achieve nothing at the club. If we were playing the decent football people claim to see then I hardly doubt we'd be in the bottom half of the table.
If we finished the millions of chances we're creating we'd be top and would have scored around 20+ goals so far this season. The footballs there, just no end product.
Waggy to finish the chances created, Koren to be used centrally when Stewart is back, and a decent loanee to boss the midfield alongside Koren. Please.
Like i said, were making a lot of chances. Waggy may be able to help with that. Oh and i forgot to say that i believe Fryatt will find his form. Don't you think we have been on top in the games so far Perce ?
maybe in losing my memory, but i remember one chance against crystal palace, and am struggling to rememebr any against reading, and honestly think if brady hadnt produced that, we could still be there now and wouldnt have scored...im also pretty sure the macclesfield keeper didnt have to make a save either..what are these chances everybody else is remembering that i just arent? blackpool there was a hatful certainly, but thats one game..
We could have had five against Palace. Maybe we would have too,if it wasn't for that 4 5 1 at home nonsense !
Been bottom half of the table in August means nothing really, 2 wins then we're about 3rd/4th. The possession football is good and in a way it's better than us hoofing it up top all the time, but it's fustrating that we try and do the Arsenal thing sometimes and make the perfect pass sequence to create the perfect goal. There's 2 sides to the NP debate, you have a man who's team haven't scored in 13 out of 27 home games but also a man who's team have only lost 9 league games since 6th November last year. Nigel isn't useless, but at the same time he has things to work on to overcome the team's shortcomings. He might not be everyone's cup of tea but he is building the foundations for a good future at the club, and hopefully in the next couple of seasons we will see the fruition of his work.
I felt we made plenty of openings against Reading, Palace was the game were we rarely threatened. I wasn't at the Macclesfield game but believe that it was similar to Palace with a lack of creativity. We should have had about 3 against Blackpool so with a bit more composure with the chances we'll have added to our goals scored tally
in fairness to NP, after Palace he stated openly that he might have to chance our style of play.. having said that we played some good stuff vs Reading AND won (only just but whatever) I like Pearson, some say he's boring, dull, uninspiring but it's very professional and he actually tells things straight. Plus he attracts good quality players and not panic buys.
