Put 7th December in your diaries. The day May gets told by the High Court that Brexit is bollox and she has no mandate. Chesh they are crowdfunding their costs, you may want to chip in. https://www.ukineuchallenge.com/ https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/ukineuchallenge/
And a judge upholding the law? Meanwhile nice to see some of the Johnson family might have some sense
What law is that, don't like a vote so get a Nazi to change it law, never heard of that one,was it Guy fawkes who did that one ?
Mutiny on the Bounty......................May has been bought. Thing is, May knows she's unpopular, especially with the people, and she knows her time as PM is very limited. Are the remainers quitting?
What the fook would he know,we've spent the last 14 years trying to sort his bankrupting the country out.
Hi guys Good thread. There was an old Brexit thread over on our board a while ago but that descended into name calling and meaningless hypothetical doomsday scenarios being thrown about and was closed in the end. For what it’s worth, I’m a wannabe Brexiteer really but I voted Remain because, well, nobody could tell me what Brexit looked like - and they still can’t, so I opted for the ‘devil I know’ rather than a leap into the unknown. Apologies if this has already been said before - it’s quite a big thread. There are a couple of myths that amazingly still persist: 1. Brexit is Right Wing and Remain is Left Wing. This is utter bollocks from the top right through to the bottom. Look at the leaders; May (a Tory remainer) and Corbin (a hardline socialist brexiteer). Some of the richest most privileged people in the country voted remain and many of the Labour-voting socialist heartlands voted for Brexit. The fact is that this topic transcends traditional party lines and political opinions. NO party can claim to be fully united on this - apart from the Lib Dem’s who barely exist as a political force these days - they missed a trick at the last election!! 2. The EU need a deal as much as we do. Bollocks. They don’t NEED a deal. Yes they WANT one - and will feel some considerable pain if there isn’t one, but they have enough collective wealth to freeze us out and make our lives very difficult indeed. They are motivated by 2 things; exasperation with the troublesome Brits, and (mainly) the fact that whatever happens, they CANNOT be seen to give us a good deal. The very survival of the bloc depends on us coming away crippled and begging them for compromise. They can hurt us far more than we can them. We must NOT be seen to be better off than we would be remaining in the club. Italy, Poland and Greece (among others) are watching closely. 3. The rest of the world is desperate to do a deal with us Really? Where does this come from? Trump? Some countries in the Middle East or a few dictatorships might be hoping for an arms deal here or there, but the major players in world trade see the EU as a bigger more attractive market - because it is - even without the UK. 4. The people have spoken Yes - but only just - and based their opinions on information now proven to be blatant lies. Criminal investigations are currently being held into some of the funding and the lies spread by BOTH sides, but mainly the Leave campaign. 5. A second referendum would be a defeat for democracy Really? Well we shouldn’t have held the last one then, because there have already been 2 others in the 1970s which both resulted in the equivalent of’remain’. For the first time ever, Brexit won by a TINY margin, so we must never hold another referendum? People didn’t know what Brexit meant. Nobody did. We still don’t - Not the EU, not Farrage, not Boris or anyone who voted for it. Anyway, what are the Brexiteers afraid of - they are bound to win, surely? End of rant - i’ll mooch back to my own board now!!!!
