Max over took him going into the first corner and was ahead in the very short distance to the next corner, why on earth did Ocon try and squeeze back through? Ocon tried to overtake at the end of the straight, failed and then ****ed up. Couldn’t be clearer. Certainly not 50:50 in my opinion. All the talk of trying to unload himself is an excuse. He is allowed to and he tried but Max beat him to the corner and then there was simply no room for Ocon to try again on the exit if that next bend. Add the fact he was trying to barge past the raise leader too, it was mental. Race officials agreed and gave him a 10 second penalty.
Oh definitely. More interesting was the comment made by Martin Brundle when discussing the Max/Ocon incident when he said there was some bad histories beteeen then from junior days... and suggested there was the same with Max and Le Clerc. Do you know anything about that? Going to be exciting next season.
Seen it now. Bit silly, but nothing but handbags really. I liked Horner’s comment... “He was lucky it was only a shove.”
Looking again , yes I agree with you ( just a tiny little bit ) . Max was ahead , but by the corner Ocon was coming . They have raced each other before . Still more 50-50 than not , both were in the wrong , both young and hot headed . One is also a Thug . Just like his Father ! But this is valid as well .
