I can’t see moyes would be interested in managing City anytime soon, even if we could afford him , get realistic guys . I’m as upset as anyone with today’s effort, we were dire, LJ was awful, he said too many of the players were well below their best, personally I thought it was LJ who had lost the plot. Was it just me? , but I couldn see any pattern to our play , I couldn’t see that we had a plan other than kick it long to Fam , we even did the same when Fam had been withdrawn , somehow thinking MT somehow had became a target man. I really don’t understand the substitutions either , the sooner LJ realises Paterson is having a mare of a season the better , Walsh was the best of the midfielders , but LJ still took him off, and then played Weimann wide , I would have given Mo a chance , he couldn’t have done any worse Surely. All in all not one of LJ’s best efforts , at least we have a while to regroup and rethink because we need it.
Perhaps David Moyes is looking for a challenge to rebuild his own worth and we would be a perfect choice, but as we know the good ones generally don't come our way.
8 City players including the keeper and we can't stop PNE scoring. Amateursish/parks football springs to mind But at least we've now found consistency. Lose, Lose and Lose
The last two results have been awful and a real concern. If he doesn't get a striker in January, it's going to be a tough back half to the season again.
Yeah, course Moyes has done a great job since leaving Everton hasn't he!! No thanks, not my cup of tea.. I agree it's not been good enough lately but not surprised the amount that have come on here to comment, usually hidden away after a win!! Plenty of teams not being consistent and some weird but typical results for the championship yesterday..Shows what a difficult league it is..
I cant see clearly the problem we have ..OK THE OBVIOUS PROBLEM NOT WINNING .. the problem being we are not winning but at times playing really good football and not scoring... with or without Fammy on the pitch! 2 early season games line up's v QPR and Swansea in red started yesterdays game blue on as sub black didn't feature 33Mäenpää 32Hunt Substituted for Pisano at 83'minutes 22Kalas 4Webster 17Kelly 15Watkins Booked at 25mins Substituted for O'Dowda at 31'minutes 21Pack 8Brownhill 19Eliasson Substituted for Paterson at 80'minutes 10Taylor 14Weimann Mäenpää 32Hunt 2Pisano Booked at 38mins 4Webster 17Kelly 15Watkins Substituted for O'Dowdaat 76'minutes 8Brownhill Booked at 48mins 21Pack Booked at 70mins 19Eliasson 10Taylor Substituted for Eisa at 90+1'minutes 14Weimann As regular starters 7 of the team yesterday Maenpaa; Hunt; Webster; Kalas Brownhill; Pack Weimann with WALSH FAMMY DaSILVA and BAKER joining them ..... HOWEVER the most outstanding omission has to be that when Taylor and Elliason started we won 2 games away and the defence did not concede! picked these 2 games at random did not know /remember who the teams were, the fact both away sheer luck ….
It's besides the point as it isn't going to happen, but Moyes has been onto an inevitable hiding on each of his jobs post-Everton. The only fair criticism you can aim at him is that he has had p*ss poor decision making when it comes to choosing clubs.
He did a well at Preston and Everton when allowed time to build, those are the skill sets we need , however I don’t believe for 1 minute he’d contemplate coming here , and certainly not for anywhere near what we’d be prepared to pay. I must admit I felt something yesterday that was different to previously, even from when he had the bad run previously, I still think he’s fine as long as we don’t slip into a relegation scrap , but .. he needs to arrest the bad form we are in, if he doesn’t we could quickly find ourselves slipping & he could find himself out of a job. I don’t know what it was , couldn’t put my finger on it , it just somehow felt different, did anyone else feel something similar ?
Was it a good feeling or the other kind Ashton? My inevitable question is do we believe that Lee has the ears and minds of his players or is he just pretending that he is in full control to make us, and him, feel good?
Yep the whole ground was flat, the players were flat i could have fallen asleep watching that ****.My boy wanted to go at 70 minutes and that is unusual.
Bad mike , no idea whether he has the players , it just seemed like a turning point to me, like a watershed , That’s why I asked if others felt it or was a t just me being dramatic because it was so boring , I actually left on 85 mins, i had enough and was getting angry , the ref didn’t help mind , he allowed play to continue with one of their players down whilst they attacked, soon as we got the ball and countered he stopped the game. Bizarre.
I don't think SL would appoint someone who he thought might be at odds with him over policies or who might stand up to/question his leadership or get in his face such as a Dame Nellie Warnock
We know from previous experience that Lansdown will stand by him. Big changes this year with 3 of our 5 best players (IMO) sold - one injured (Korey) and one now woefully out of form (Marlon)
I don't think we'll lose all these games and being the Champiinship quite literally anything could happen. What is concerning fans is the mixed up thinking of LJ with regard to selection and set up. Some say he's 'learning', I don't think he is. And remember if we lose the next 3 matches that still would only be 6 losses on the bounce. LJ has lost 8 on the bounce and rewarded by SL with an increase in contract. LJ's bombproof, he's here forever.
SL will have his hand forced as he cannot afford too let city drop into league 1,three more losses and he will act.
Know where you are coming from LP, Sat seemed different from anything I’ve felt in the LJ reign. There’s always been dissenters, but different gravy Sat, even LJ in his after match interview sounded deflated, maybe I imagined it because I was so upset and bored .
I certainly don't think LJ is bombproof, admitted he stood by him after 8 losses last season, but this time I think it will be a different outcome, Mr Lansdown will not want to see us in a relegation battle, so LJ and team, pick yourselves up, otherwise he will be gone.
