    ... Haway, let's be honest.

This Leicester situation is becoming ridiculous.

If Leicester were Newcastle, they hadn't won the title and the owner had died in his bed there wouldn't be all this weeping and wailing.

We're all going to die sooner or later and the bloke was closer to death than birth.

Yes it's a shame but ffs it's not the end of civilisation as we know it. Tomorrow is the remembrance of millions of young men, who died defending the world against fascism. The Leicester owner died because he chose to fly around in a private helicopter.

    Sad but, that's life imo.

It's sad and I can understand LCFC fans being knocked by it. The question is really "where does it all end"? A bit like when Diana died. A lot of people were genuinely affected by it, but the whole mourning thing went on way too long. It becomes self-indulgence at some point, but where that point is will always be a matter of opinion.

If it was Blackpool the supporters would be dancing in the streets.

It's only because he pumped in millions and won the league that makes the Leicester supporters so 'mournful'.

If it was Newcastle..... nah it’s too easy.

I get what you mean. It’s a very sad and tragic event but it cannot linger on forever, in the public domain. Leave the family to mourn in peace!

I was saying these exact sentiments at work yesterday listening on Radio 5 Live, thought the commentator was going to burst into tears.
OTT is right, where has all this come from, I blame Princess Di and all the idiots who jumped onto that bandwagon.

It was Adrian Durham on Talk Sport that I heard, sycophantic drivel of the highest or should that be lowest order, repeated ad infinitum, had to switch off eventually, sadly something I am doing more and more these days, the standards on radio and tv are mind numbing tbh.

This is part of my problem with all this.

A working bloke, the pilot, dies because he's asked to do something he probably doesn't feel 100% comfortable with.

Just like Princess Diana's chauffeur & bodyguard having to drive through a city at ridiculous speeds.

And all because people were trying to take their photo ......

He was amazing for Leicester, but I agree that the media coverage of this has been OTT.

Although there obviously was coverage , don’t recall this much for Matthew Harding.

I was working for a London firm when Harding went down and one of our clients was the head of the Bolton Supporters' organization who lived down South. Harding offered him a lift back in his helicopter and, not surprisingly, he accepted. He got bugger all publicity in the aftermath of the crash...

Saturday was their first home game since it happened, so there was always going to be something significant, and rightly so.

It will end now from a national perspective

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments. It's good to see people actually talking about Sunderland and football in general.

The board is a decent place when it's used properly, others have virtually died when one person has been allowed to hijack them and dictate the content and tone.

Don't want anything mate, always looking at the board and it looks decent at the moment.

I stopped posting when the stupidity level reached an unacceptable level.

I like a laugh but I can't abide the infantile ****e the board became at the expense of SAFC and football in general.
