Both past it both not prolific scorers neither with anything that they can add, we have Becchio on the verge of coming back 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 Becchio, McCormack and Keough

Still think we need another striker and don't think we can rely on Somma getting back, those kinds of injuries can roll on and on and on. WHU wanted to sign Forssell but couldn't get strikers of the wage bill to fit him in, he's an experienced, decent (if not prolific) goal-scorer who IMO would contribute to the squad on and off the pitch.

Haven't we tried enough has-been strikers since the Tor Andre Flo days to realize they are not worthwhile? <head hurts>

Something's not quite right about this Forssell thing,I bet he's still weighing up his options.
I see he scored for Finland tonight in the Euro qualifiers,so if he's still good enough to play at international level he's sure as hell good enough for us. Probably feels insulted he should have to have a trial in the first place.
What's the odds we miss out on signing him because we dithered around & he goes elsewhere & does well?
    That would just be typical.

I don't want him but if we do miss out it will be one reason only, wages.

I would imagine Beattie's agent will be trying to get him a deal with a Premiership team <laugh>, Everton need a striker but due to their current position will not offer much money. Leeds will not pay too much either so where do you think he will choose to go??? Don't get me wrong we need another big target man, we dont need Macfadden as we have enough players who can play in the hole behind a big striker. Another option might be big Rob Hulse :emoticon-0112-wonde as QPR hae left him out their 25 man squad, but as we all know, with Hulse you never know if will turn up on Saturday. But if I was SG I would go for a loan for Emile Heskey  as Villa seem to like loaning us players....

Let me get this straight, you'd rather give up a decent player for rob hulse? Mcfadden is a similar player to snodgrass, and would do a great job on the left!

Emile Heskey would be my choice if Villa will let him out out on loan to get games under his belt, he is a great player and would allow Snodgrass, Howson and Nunez to get more goals coming in from midfield.. But don't get me wrong, i would prefer James Beattie to Rob Hulse anyday... But if he has the chance to warm a Premiership bench i am sure he will. Daily Star claims that Sheff Utd are sniffing around so we might be able to do something.....

I think Heskey could do a hell of a job in the championship.
His and becchios link up play would be a thing of dreams!
