I was reading somewhere about the players that FL Derby have on loan from PL clubs. There’s Mount and A N other from Chelski, as well as Wilson from Liverpool and the story was saying that FL might be taking at least one more from Chelski in more January. It makes our lofty league position more remarkable, when you consider that our ONLY loan player is JR!!!!
Does anyone else disagree with Rooneys inclusion in the England squad? Just making a meaningless friendly all the more meaningless and has more than likely taken Maddison’s spot in the squad.
I don't begrudge him having one last game, the receipts of which are going to his charity Rather a friendly than a competitive game. Gareth has shown that he is willing to blood the youngsters.
I can now see why DF/SW let Middleton leave – he would have had limited chance to start when pitted against Hernandez and Buendia (aka Bendy!!)
Maddison has picked up an injury, but regardless I'm not keen on this "international testimonial" that seems to be growing in popularity. Podolski was given one by Germany from memory. All players who turn out for England donate their match fees to charity anyway, and the stadium is run at a loss too I believe, so no additional money there. Not sure anybody other than Rooney is getting a lot out of it.
I see Leicester City are having a statue built to honour their late owner Let's hope they don't use the sculptor who did Christiano Ronaldo
DF on his contract -“Stuart and I are trying to build something not only for the next eight months but in the longer term. For me, when you work with all your heart and emotion it is not a case the contract ends and you start thinking what is happening in a few months.” Looks like both DF and SW are here beyond this season!!! https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/canaries-farke-update-on-contract-situation-1-5773113 https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwi...bes-from-millwall-rival-neil-harris-1-5773123 “It is not about individual awards. My joy is when I can help make the people around Norwich happy,” he said. “The most important thing is to make the supporters happy, and if we can pay something back for that passion and entertain and be successful. “If you judge it in an objective way, and some of my analysts said it was a bit weird, we had five wins and a draw (in September) and Darren Moore wins it with less points but perhaps he got it for taking West Brom to the top of the table. “Meanwhile in October we brought our team back to the top and we are not nominated. It doesn’t feel weird for me. It doesn’t affect me at all. #sosayallofus I saw an article on the EDP website earlier in the week complaining that DF should have at least made the 'short*list', but personally, I couldn't care less.
I’ve just had a horrible thought that one day we might see a statue of bloody Delia outside the stadium
Some interesting stats for you Dunc re JM and JR and how accurate they are and how many minutes they need to score a goal. #stillalngwaytogo
