Probably! But if they come through effort, commitment and sheer determination then I don’t have a problem with that. The result I’m looking for is getting all of the aforementioned in spade loads and hopefully, at least one more goal than Watford!!
I’d care to, but I shan’t. Most of it is alluded to in here, in fairness. I think his time was up and his ego was far more detrimental to the club than others that have come prior.
Sounds like Sparky was caught out by the removal which implies he and Les had a good understanding going on. If he was a Les fave he's not going to be standing on very solid ground at the moment. Actually, he was already on a rocking boat to begin with, lose at home to Watford and the water will be neck deep.
Just heard. Shake up is clearly needed and the decisions he's made in the last couple of years just haven't worked out. Exciting moment.
We can live in hope but it would need Kruger to fall on his sword and I don't see that happening anytime soon
Big Sam on talkSport Breakfast Show today, if he continues to talk about his desire to become a Director of Football, I will get very suspicious
I was previously under the impression that it would be difficult to find anyone worse than Les Reed for that role, but Sam? Please, football gods, no!
Think we are going overboard criticising Les....good stuff went on under his management as well as the bad. He'd reached the end of his shelf-life here....sometimes you just need a change (for him and us)….but a lot more changes are needed apart from replacing him. Recovery is going to be a long haul without a massive investment....and that isn't going to happen. It took us a few years to decline this badly....we must expect it to take a similar time to dig ourselves out.
MODS!! Can we merge the Les Reed threads (there´s three at the moment) and the Hunter one? I am sure all forthcoming comments can fit in nicely under the one umbrella. PS; Anyone doing the England v New Zealand match day thread?
Our performances, results and rapid decline started after he gained more control and authority at the club and that is difficult to ignore. I thank him generally for his time here though. Edit: **** it after reading the tweets from some Academy players good riddance.
I don't see Nicola ever coming back here personally and definately not under Gao/Kat. His pride wouldn't allow it and he has never worked in football since as far as I know. It was a one time thing tied up with his great friend Markus and I don't even think that he ever bought into the club and it's history itself it was more of a personal mission for him. He wouldn't come back for sentimental reasons in my opinion.
