I wouldn't have minded a draw if we scored an equal number of goals, but I can't accept a draw when we scored more goals than them
we didn't a ball in a net is not necessarily a goal. They had the ball in the net a couple times too would you rather a loss cos the bent as **** ref just ignored the offside when they had the ball in our net to prove they are bent as?
The doom and gloom is a bit much, as you say, 11 games unbeaten, including 4 against rivals, 3 of which are away. 2nd best defence in the league, we should be enjoying this. We cant control what city do, if city go and get 95+ points then fair play they deserve the title. What did we end up with last year, about 80? Our target has to be to constantly improve and although the football hasn’t been as scintillating as last year yet, we do look a much better all round team. If we improve and get 90 points but don’t win the league all you can say is congrats to city. We’re not an incredible team just yet, we’re a very good one and expected to challenge but we can only do what we can do and we aren’t good enough at the moment to get 100 points. As as you say we like everyone else are relying on other teams to beat teams around us. We only play city twice, and can only cause then to drop 5 points this season
They had the ball in the net after the whistle had gone to signal a stop in play. We had the ball in the net when the ball was still in play, but the goal was subsequently ruled out.
we ended up with 75 points. I think people.are getting slightly carried away with 100 points. it's not a 2 horse race. there's 5 teams in it and if that doesn't knock the title back nothing will. two teams won't get 90+ imo. The title points could and probably will be 90+ but who knows where. 100 was an all time English league record. lfc need to be on 85+ if we are on 75 again I'd be disappointed. If we get 85+ it's improvement again. but... at some point we must stop improving and start delivering silverware cos 2nd on 85 is still first of losers and unlike Utd I don't think we should grow about it
Get over it he was offside. He was active in the initial phase as he was moving towards the ball, not ignoring it or moving backwards, this became apparent when a second later he put the ball in the net. Your breakdown over that decision is beyond cringeworthy.
We were ****ing great on Saturday tbh. We took them to pieces and played some excellent football. Gomes looked an absolute Rolls Royce of a player. Pleased with the way it’s going under this fella.
and richarldson too. there was a really happy young lad on 606 Saturday night after the game commenting on it with savage.
Lots of ink have been spilt and wasted by this. Even some referees are saying that Mane wasn’t offside technically when he tapped the ball in. But looking at the big picture I can accept the goal being chalked off.
Didn’t think I would get on the radio to be fair. Interesting that Sunday games are now used for Crooks team of the week as Gomes looked solid. Big test coming up at Chelsea to see how good we are.
Yeah still early days, but the signs are promising. The speed at which he’s managed to change the style of play from the absolute ****e we had to endure last season is impressive. I think the balance in the side looks right at home, but maybe too aggressive to go with at the better sides away.
Why do we feel bad about saying a red mancs win will be beneficial to us ? This is so obvious so let’s admit it
I didn't say I or anyone else would feel bad. I asked why not just see what happens. Why hope / wish / want something you have no influence over? But then, I'm not one for wanting things to be gifted to us. I want us to earn it ourselves.
