It did Which why my club along with many other lower league clubs nearly went bust, due to the collapse of on-digital.
It would be sooooo funny if Sky went under, the Lower Leagues would become the Premier League clubs, and the Premier League club would become the Non League minnows overnight. Even Woking ( @Stan ) would be a bigger club than Spurs if that happened
Do you mean itv digital, that was quite a bit later wasn't it? My step dad still blames that for losing his bet with me that you'd reach the PL
I think ITV Digital was the attempted rebrand. It was on-digital that left us 10M in debt, because we built a new ground on it. Hence why our away stand was never finished and is the shhite it is today. Thankfully the financial collapse happened and our debt mysteriously disappeared....
Just looked back at the timeline of our ground rebuild, it started in 1999 under On-Digital but ceased under the rebranded name of ITV Digital
Which makes me think, maybe the Premier League clubs want to relocate to Europe, as they will not be able to travel when we Brexit. After all Spurs have already gone American on us. Can see it now PSG Arsenal, maybe their manager Wonga should have stuck around
... and Spurs might even get closer to the title .... obviously still fall short in a "Spursy" way ... but the excitement would be palpable ....
Yes this is what I mean.. The endless pursuit of money is disgraceful and largely down to foriegn owners. It's the same as the meetings that they and Spurs had over wanting 40% of the PL money creaming off!! I personally just about class Spurs as a proper footballing club but that may change and they are close to joining the Mega Greedy **** everybody else club !!
