My last visit to Boro was in the home end. Not good. Time before (a midweek league cup game) we took over one of the big home boozers and some bell end let off a blue flare <doh> Used to hate going to Stoke, inbred ****ing mutants.

Got locked into Ayresome park for two hours after full time one extremely cold December day. Locked in for longer than the actual match, for our own safety!!

****ing grim place that was, in amongst terraced houses that harboured mutant inbred ****wits who were all too happy to give the coaches a 'nice' welcome on arrival.

Inside the ground was like a prisoner of war camp.

We didn't even win, we drew 1-1. Bernie ****ing Slaven!

Anfield 05 was noisiest game I've been to in England this century post Hillsborough in an all seater, so don't cry. But I've been to noisier matches with terracing in the 80s.

Fenerbace away was noisiest seated stadia I have been to.

Boca-River 2002 is the noisiest game I have been to period.

His goal relegated us in the play offs in 88. Bates screened match at Hammy Odeon to stop Chelsea fans travelling and causing problems (trouble at Blackburn semi final play off)

A Coronation Street actor who supported Boro had to make a hasty exit from the Odeon after Slaven scored

Our postman for the past three decades said part of the reason for the invasions during the game was that the Millwall end was so overfilled Hillsborough style. Apparently OB expected 5k Wall and 8k turned up.

Wall beat us on the way to that FA Cup tie, at our place on a Monday.
We played an incredible 6 games in 9 days including three cup ties: Saturday Monday Wed, Saturday Monday Wednesday including 2 cup ties and two Milk Cup QF replays!

Wall filled three pens in the North Stand and started a fire on the terraces that night and were very loud.

We also played them in the Milk Cup earlier in the season. The game at their yard was very menacing; Wall even stabbed one of your players before the match, Rob Isaac

    Don't cry?.<laugh>

I couldn't give a flying **** about what you thought of the atmosphere that night, I'm pointing out how good the atmosphere was on the Spion Kop and the other two and a half sides of the ground.
It's understandable there was silence and tears in the away section on the night.

Totally fine, Argentinians are actually very friendly towards English in their country.

The terracing on the upper tier at Boca is the steepest and most mental ever. Madder than Turkish grounds.

Went to Fla-Flu on that trip too, and got stabbed at Medellin-Cali (only a few stitched and it was more to do with people trying to mug me than offing)

    Nice.

I'd love to see a game in one of the mental countries in South America or Turkey.

An old colleague of mine got mugged once travelling in Argentina and then put a bucked off **** on his head!

That's enough to put you off guard - I think he was just unlucky though.

Most people are always fine I guess but they're still a bit sore from the Falklands.

We played them in the round before the Luton game ... me and one of my cousins went. Running battle from train station all the way to the ground. They invaded the pitch after beating us 2-0 and stormed our end. We were kept in our penned bit for close on 2 hours after the game.

The main reason that the trouble at Luton was that bad was that the FA (or Luton) refused police advice to make the game all ticket.

One of my best mates is a brickie - back in the 80s he went out to Ghana on a VSO ticket to teach the locals how to lay bricks ... he went to an International match in Accra where Ghana were playing a nearby neighbour ... crowd trouble kicked off, although it was likely all involved were Ghanaians ... the police / army soon sorted it by firing some live rounds at the perpetrators <laugh>

    Haha blimey!

I've not had any trouble thankfully (touch wood).

I know one more story where a site manager I used to work with got mugged at gunpoint and threatened with kidnapping in South Africa.

That is a messed up country.

He was (and still is) South African himself and managed to get out of it somehow.

Security guard we used to chat to in Whitechapel got stabbed by a needle from some skaghead - that was about 3/4 months ago.

    Totally at random.

    Lovely world <ok>

My mate's girlfriend (now wife) went over for a visit and they went into Accra for a night out where they were mugged at gun point and she had her camera stolen ... he's a rugby player and would have been in his 20s then (was an England U19 hooker in fact) and can handle himself ... he told me he was literally ****ting himself because there were stories of muggers just shooting tourists first before robbing ... said he just gave them everything and luckily they ran off ... nedless to stay he stayed local after that ... told some great stories ... more than once one of his 'students' asked him if he would like one of their sisters as a bed warmer ... he admitted that he was sorely tempted but AIDS was rife back then and no matter how pissed he got he managed to keep that in mind ...
