They are not only winnable but also must wins. The thing is that City against the same teams at the same stadiums will get maximum points. The only slightly tricky ones would be the derby but we’ve been getting 3 points for this fixture in the recent past. Bournemouth and Watford on their day could be feisty and if we survive the inevitable periods of their being on top (like Bournemouth yesterday) we should be ok. Fulham and Burnley should be nailed on on form.
this exactly. expectation have raised. not to the deluded point but in general they have raised to where we want to be in a title race.
Other teams are improving massively too..every team getting stronger and stronger every time..that is where the problem lies.
Look at the assistants positioning here... ...shocking! How can he possibly see from there? He's guessed the decision.
So one cracks inevitably. We are very good. Chelsea are very good and can go better Spurs are at the top of what they can do. Retaining key players but in the end they can't do much more. Arsenal can do better, they should have won yesterday. Emry will improve them if right players are bought for him at back. Utd can do far better. City cannot do much more. I think a lot is made of them but there are clear weaknesses in them and Silva can't keep going forever. They will not win cl imo. They just are too defensively frail. One or two will crack. Chelsea and arsenal should be on an upwards curve with new managers. Spurs are treading water, it's dangerous times. Utd have had it bad and don't look right so the gap by end of Christmas will decide a lot. Pressure is still on. We are doing ok but it must be a case now of beating every non top 6 team, Everton included from here. If we suffer a 1 point from 12 run... and we have done it before we might be not only out if title race but out of top 4. In many ways this is now a top 6 league with the rest just serving to take 3 or 4 points max off the top 6.
No hang on. 1 second before he was inline with defence when ball was played in. He's running back with imo a though mane off, firmino on. He may not be seeing the ball as being ahead of mane now tbh. He's flagged when mane touched it. Mane didn t even protest. In the end we would do better analysing who we were dominated by arsenal in midfield than whining about an offside call that var might has solved
Why should arsenal have won yesterday when we hit the woodwork twice and had a legitimate goal disallowed?
A) how many misses did arsenal have? B) how much of possession did they dominate? C) how lucky was our goal that their keeper ****ed up? D) since when did missed chances count to final results? E) it obviously wasn't a goal as it wasn't given so imo that's just an excuse. 18mins gone? Not even a quarter of the game town so that one call doesn't even say we'd have gone in at ht leading. Who knows it might have soured arsenal on
Mane didn't touch it initially. The assistant rightly didn't flag (And run to catch up) because Firmino was onside. The assistant was in no position to see if Mane was behind the ball once Bobby pays it. Bare in mind that Firmino could have passed to Mane of he'd wanted and he'd have been onside because he's behind the ball. Mane didn't protest because that's not what he does. Bobby protested though.
A legit goal not given is not an excuse it's a fact ffs. Vvd should have scored a hatrick. How lucky was their goal? Exactly lol
Yes, Arsenal missed chances as did we. I'm not going to analyse which were the better chances nor which team had the most. The fact is the score was 1-1 and we were the only team that had a legit goal wrongly disallowed. Not that there's anything anyone can do about it now.
If I remember rightly it was 13-12 shots with both having 4 each on target. Does us hitting woodwork twice count as on target? Just found mito comment we was lucky hilarious.
You could say the same for ours; poor keeping and deflection off Holding sent the ball towards Milly. In terms of chances, we deserved to win. In terms of game control, Arsenal deserved to win. I think a draw was fair.
Our CB could have had a hat-trick against them, they were shocking, Arsenal deserved nothing and only got something because of a mistaken/corrupt official
You understand now when you read him how United managed to get a bent tit like Webb to ref as many of their games as possible. Nevertheless, he'll still spend weeks on end thinking he's clever by stringing out this argument, when everyone else can see he's simply to thick to understand written English. Can you imagine him trying to fill in a passport application or a mortgage form? He'd come unstuck trying to get his name right. Then he'd argue with them for weeks on end that it wasn't asking for his name, but what he wanted to be called. Then why did they want to know his name. BTW: Morata has just scored a perfectly good goal for Chelsea in identical circumstances for Chelsea. Let's see how Diego pretends this one is offside.
Coulda shoulda. The fact is vvd scored a big fat duck egg. If you want to ignore how many chances they carved out and how they dominated us and focus on officials fine but the reality is this is an ongoing trend with our side now. We are not creating good chances except in sporadic one off occasions, we are not dominating teams for 120-25 mins. We are defensively very solid, we are at the top of the table until city won cos we just score enough to take points but we are defensively solid. We should be focused on how to improve our lot not officials and pretending arsenal didn't miss chances
It is an excuse given it is providing people a convenient excuse not to look at how arsenal ran us off park. Should coulda for vvd. As for their goal... can you deny we sat off and invited them to attack us, can you deny that thry looked like scoring for 10mins before...
If we hadn't scored first, bit had equalised, we would be celebrating a point hard earned point against a top side. For all the IFS and buts, arsenal where the better side, there is no point pissing and moaning about what could have and should have been. The more important issue that can be altered is that our midfield for yet another game was unable to compete. Our manager got the set up wrong and it could have cost us. We are trying the same thing over and over and it's not working.
Mistaken, for sure. Corrupt that they'll try to pretend that he was unsighted as opposed to didn't know the rules.
