I agree. I think athletics stadiums converted to football grounds swallow sound.

Combine that with the fact that Man C fans now expect to win rather than hoping vainly for it (and thus shouting for the team) and I think the comparison is explained.

Was just about to make the same point. Sunderland continued to drift and drop until they made a completely fresh start. My Sunderland mate is loving football again, because he can see a different future. Today's performance is about what I expected. We are matching Burnley, Cardiff and Huddertfield, who let in 5's and a 6. The top 6 teams are in a different league to most of the rest of the division. We haven't helped ourselves with the last two years lack of progress, but nobody supports Saints for the glory.

The stupidity isn’t paying £10 million for a decent backup keeper, it’s continuing to pay your 3rd choice keeper £80k a week.

Ok let’s do nothing and fade away as that is what it feels is the alternative.

The amount of cash we spent was fine. It's the players we brought in that aren't. I have no problem with the amount we spend, it's the people we bring in. I think we are allergic to buying Championship players

Fair play to the saints fans. At least you get to see world class players put on a show. May not see them again next season.

It's offering the 3rd choice keeper £80k in the first place

Did she? She literally abdicated her leadership role by removing herself from a position of authority. And did so by turning things over to Gao who you apparently do not like.

Not that I’m trying to blame Katherina. If she doesn’t want to be the owner, that is her decision. Does it matter anyway? However good or bad She might have Ben, she’s no longer in charge, Regardless of how we got here, it’s Gao’s club now and he’s not running it well.

All Foster does is train a few hours a week for 80k, imagine that life

We're doing that regardless of whether we replace Hughes.

Unless that is either the board go, or they finally wake up and do their job properly. (I'm sure some fans out there will still have hope that we might actually strengthen in the next transfer window, but I lost any faith in that a very long time ago.)

Great stuff from Dave. "What Southampton don't want here, Adam, is to concede a fifth."

    Genius.

We seem to spend decent money but get poor players. Boufal, Carillo, Gabbiaddini. 60 million pounds on 3 non performing players. Someone is not doing their job in recruitment. That's apart from this seasons recruitement.
