It's not just Vestergaard. Armstrong, Gunn too. And Carillo and Boufal before them. Oh, wow, look, the board have spent some money. Doesn't mean that they're good at recruiting. Great way to spend that Virgil money...
It’s incredibly quiet in the ground It’s like we are all embarrassed for Southampton they are that poor
I think lots of us get it, but whilst we wait for the ****wits on the Board to go, we also need to act by doing something about the underwhelming/performing Manager before we are totally ****ed. The team we have can still stay up by its foreskin.
Giving McCarthy a new contract to then sign Gunn for £15m and only sign one striker, one attacking player was so incompetent words fail me
But who does the acting? The board. Fine, sack Hughes tomorrow if you want. Just don't hold your breath for Les and Ralph to give you someone better
I'm with you! I never wanted him either (there were plenty that did) and don't really want him now but from an objective point of view I think any club that offers a three year contract to a manager should be made to stick at least one season with them.
I don't think anyone thinks otherwise. The problem is, that with a supposed limited budget, should you really be spending £10m on a backup GK who is unlikely to play. We had so many more important areas that needed to be addressed.
Fair enough, but it does need to change, and my experience of people in power are for the to hang out to dry those more disposable than them, whilst they still have a position of authority in the hope they get it right...
