I never said not to blame the managers or players. For example, last season MP was hugely to blame in my view. But my point still stands. The board appoint the manager, the board sign the players. If the board had never messed up in appointing MP in the first place, then we wouldn't have had to put up with his awful management. Get rid of the manager and players all you want. But if you're not getting the rid of the board, then I don't know why you would think that us getting relegated would somehow allow us to turn things around. Poor managerial appointments continue. Poor player recruitment continues. More likely I would suggest is that the downward slump just speeds up. I'm Sunderland fans were delighted last year at getting relegated for the PL the season before... (Things have begun to look brighter for Sunderland these days. Guess what, they have a new board.)
Disappointing that yet again a player has switched off in time added on. Cedric really should have done better and been stronger.
Hoedt gets distracted so damn easy. Cedric has always been like it, but now we have two defenders like it
The first 20 was an absolute shambles and our defending has been pathetic. Better once we got the pen but then Cedric gifted City a 4th. At least Pellegrino got us well organised against the big teams.

Why did we even buy Vestergaard? I thought the whole point was that it was acknowledged last season that Stephens and Hoedt weren't a good enough CB pairing?
Cedric gets away with it because of his pace. Hoedt is like a reverse Van Dijk, chills 90% of the time is good 10%
