Gilmour is God, Waters is demi-God. They are both fantastic musicians, Waters can be a massive dick sometimes! But anyone who, like me, saw the live show, will agree that he was an absolutely brilliant performer and singer, legends.

interesting, i always thought that Gilmour was a lazy dick, that Roger was driving him and the others on when they had nothing left in the locker so to speak.

for me, the solo albums speak volumes, Rogers were/are great( pros and cons, Radio KAOS and Amused to death ), Gilmours ( about face ) and momentary lapse ,Division bell are lame in comparison.

i can think of many great guitarists, but not many song writers/composers.

Waters is one of the best songwriters/composers of all time. ( obviously in my humble opinion )

imo the best Floyd album was The Wall, which obviously had a lot to do with Waters, but their most successful, Dark Side of the Moon, was a collaborative effort. Roger Waters comes across as very arrogant in Pink Floyd, and I don't think many of the songs would have been as successful without David Gilmour's solos, and also the man everyone forgets about, Rick Wright.

got to be carseful here bud, had more than a skinfull tonight, but i will stand by ( just ,) what i say

Roger ( in my opinion ) has an absolute right to be arrogant, he basically took over from Syd when it all went tits up.no one else had the balls to stand up and write the songs.

yes, gilmour had some great solos, but they would have been nothing without the lyrics.

as for the the wall, that was entirely Rogers, he had the whole thing down on a demo, before any one else had a handle on it, Gilmour admits this himself.

however, i am more than happy to admit that the Floyd, in all their parts, were the epitome of what a rock band should be.

Wish you were here ( the album ) proves this in my opinion. perfect lyrics, perfect music.
