I hear what FML is saying re Wolves and they most certainly did get away with ‘driving a coach and horses through’ FFP rules last season and signing players (mostly Portuguese {odd that} who would have cost other clubs MANY £Ms and certainly more than they could have afforded had they stayed within the rules. They then sign the GK and basically relegate JR to ‘bench warming’ Having said that, they were denied a goal (how many times has that happened to NCFC???) and their 2nd half display was incredible apart from their first penalty being rather soft.
Not just last season. They were regularly signing players for 20 odd million in the championship the years before promotion.
Costa and Carvaliero were bought a few years ago for about 10M and 15M. They didn't get promoted that season. Neves was then about 20M, those dodgy loans of world class talent to the Championship, like Jota. Must have been insane wages.
Could you get around it, by having a massive signing on fee as a gift so it isn't wages and therefore doesn't count?
The "Super-agent" Mendes is behind it all, 9 of the Wolves starting XI are signed to his agency. And the Wolves owner has shared in Mendes' company. I guess he convinces all his players to join Wolves, and gets a ridiculous agent fee for doing so. Then Wolves act as a platform for the player to get a move to a bigger club, and Mendes takes a cut then too.

Championship Manager of the Month nominees: Steve Mclaren (QPR) - 10 points from 5 Frank Lampard (FL's Derby) - 9 points from 5 Neil Harris (Millwall) - 10 points from 5 Gary Monk (Birmingham) - 13 points from 5 Farke: 10 points from 5, but apparently going unbeaten but picking up less points is better because Frank Lampard. Not that I mind! We'll just stay under the radar hopefully.
As much as I agree with you, it is now permissible to use either according to Richard Osman on pointless!
He actually started too. Sounds like Rangers were unlucky to lose. VAR would have seen them take a 4-2 lead at half-time
