I use iFollow with a VPN for weekend matches I can't get to. Midweek games are all on Sky Sports. Not going to be able to get along to anything now until December, hopefully we are not stranded by then.
Apart from forwards who can't score, defenders who can't defend, and midfielders who can't pass to one of their own players, I really can't see what the problem is.
Millwall game, did it show that despite everything Hurst was getting the best out of the players? If I was feeling argumentative I would suggest that as our worst defeat of the season it did. But it's old ground. Lambert will make his assessment of the players and find his own systems to fit. Not sure what that will be but I think we'll come out with a draw.
We were starting to look decent before the international break so we know these players have it in them. One or two might be angry at the situation and have an attitude. Some others will respond better to Lambert than Hurst. But I don't feel like Lambert really has time to make an assessment and bring in new ways of doing things - these next two games, win and we look in good shape, lose and we have a mountain to climb.
Well we would have ripped Hurst apart for this line up... Spence in, Chalobah and Skuse both in a 4-5-1 with Sears up top.
I think Chalobah will get pushed quite a bit further forward with Skuse / Downes sitting. Hopefully allows the wingers to push on. Good luck Roberts. Hurst unfortunately proved he couldn't run a bath at this level with us. An absolute shower. Infact, I'm not even going to name him as someone who has managed us in our history. He was THAT BAD. At least that melt has well and truly ended the Keane v Jewell debate all day long. Hurst walks all over that. Never witnessed such amateurish ' management ' from afar in my entire life supporting town. I truly dread to think what he was like behind closed doors.
If this energy, new found enthusiasm and attacking play gets a goal first half, then maybe, just maybe our season starts!
I'm really not seeing anything different yet - mistakes all over the park and nothing much happening in the attack. In Town's favour though, Preston are equally awful.
Our Freddie more like his old self. When did Ipswich last have more shots, more corners and more possession?
The Radio Suffolk commentary tends to depend on the kind of mood Mick Mills is in. Sometimes when I’m watching iFollow I think they must be watching a different game myself
How fitting, that man Freddie is back in form. Right before half time. I am enjoying a football match again!
