hi fellas! wetherby,2 05: OLBG MARES HURDLE LADY BUTTONS is a mare,i like a lot.was probably flying a bit too high last time out at aintree in the spring, over fences, but still ran more than creditably there, and also her hurdles form is very useful.so,if ready today, should go well today..
ascot,2 25: thx mate! ascot,2 25: SHANTOU ROCK has come up short at the top level recently, but thats still the best form here on offer, and he should be bang there today..
Just the one for me today, in the Montrose Fillies Stakes I felt some of the form was very weak and the Crisford and Appleby once raced pair looked capable of stepping up to land this. As I said yesterday, the Crisford stable is in form this past fortnight and I opted for his filly Mannall. She looked the one more likely to come on and she was 7 lengths ahead of the 3rd when winning despite greeness on debut, by a length from a filly yet to run again. In contrast Ya Hala's race looks more exposed as modest and she is facing totally different ground today. Only 2/1 but I felt that was a bit of value as I made Mannall 6/4 on my own tissue for the race. I expect an improved showing and will be disappointed if Mannall can't win this to set herself up for next season. 2.35 Newmarket Mannall 2/1
down royal,2 30 CHAMPION CHASE not easy to choose from the gigginstown armada here, but i think,ROAD TO RESPECT is the class act here, and if fit and well today, should run a big race..
Caid du Lin - 1.50pm - Ascot - 3rd November 2018 Live on ITV4 2m2f175y - Handicap Chase - £16,800 - 7 declared Caid du Lin never got into the race at Cheltenham after slipping at the first fence and we run him just a week later after he schooled very well during the week. The form of his races this year have worked out well and we hope he will be competitive at Ascot this afternoon in this valuable chase. Racing Post comment: "Seemed to have taken well enough to chasing until difficulties at Cheltenham last week" Vosne Romanee - 2.25pm - Ascot - 3rd November 2018 Live on ITV4 2m167y - Listed Handicap Chase (Class 1) - £60,000 - 7 declared Vosne Romanee was unfortunate at Cheltenham seven days ago when the rain got into the ground. He didn't enjoy the soft going and we hope we'll see a better run today. He runs off top weight in this very competitive chase, but he seems to have come out of his run last weekend in great order. Timeform comment: "Was better than ever when winning a pair of Stratford handicap chases over this trip in July. Pulled up at Cheltenham 7 days ago, however". Weren't wrong about ignoring the PU's were they!
That s why I love the jumps..so much going on..I thought my money was gone...then Bryony stayed on..then I thought he was going to win but in the end came up just short. Double shuffle down and out at the first.. Fair play to definitely red. An action packed race. With the flat all you get is running around a course or up a straight course...with horses being short of room.
i saw only the last part of the race, what happened to him? ascot,3 00: GLOBAL CITIZEN kicks off his handicap career off a quite lofty mark, but may well be able to defy it today.he had a really good season over novice hurdles, and even if only 6th in a big race at aintree, the form has worked out pretty well over the last few months,so theres surely some potential in him..
